Hotel Garni Corona

Staying at the Hotel Garni Corona is like 'no other'. We have been to this magnificent hotel several times over the years, and they never disappoint. Awesome management, the entire staff, accommodations, breakfasts, and of course the location - on the lake overlooking beautiful mountains. We are hoping to make a fourth visit in the future ... It is the best Mennagio has to offer ... !

Beautiful little hotel overlooking the lake right in the centre of Menaggio, an easy walk from the ferry terminal. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was a delicious and fresh variety. Highly recommended.

Great location. Great breakfast, lady who serves breakfast is very friendly and makes great coffee. Totally would stay here again. Large lake view room on the 4th floor. Comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with double sinks. Beautiful! Loved our stay.

Amaaaaazing, best spot in Menaggio and therefore the best place in lake Como. The room was perfect, close to everything and central to the town. Breakfast was beautiful and so worth it. Most of all like every hotel, the staff were fantastic. There is a good reason they have so many amazing reviews THEY DESERVE THEM

small boutique hotel in right by center of town ( Menaggio) and other side is across the road from the lake. Town square was behind us. Restaurants all around us. Our room was clean and spacious. Large bathroom with tub and shower. There was a little balcony. Walking distance to the boat shuttles. Would go there again.

Whilst categorized as a 3 star hotel, Hotel Garni Corona is anything but, and should not in any way put you off staying here. Yes, it doesn't have a pool, but very few hotels around Menaggio do, unless of course, you're willing to pay over £2000 a night. The rooms are adequately comfortable, are a decent size, and the bathrooms have clearly recently been modernized. We had a lake view room albeit with a small balcony, but big enough to sit and take in the breathtaking views of the lake, with Bellagio and Varena in view on the other side of the lake. By far the hotels greatest asset is it's location, opposite the lake. To the side of the hotel is Piazza Garibaldi which is not only incredibly beautiful, but also has an array of restaurants and gelato shops. Within a short walk is a large supermarket selling literally everything, and bus stops are literally a stones throw away, taking you to other towns, should you chose to do so. The views from our balcony, and our walks along the lake will live with me forever. I was incredibly impressed with this property and the service provided by the staff, particularly the team in the breakfast room who were incredibly friendly.

The location had beautiful view of the lake. Most comfortable mattress ever! We had a lakefront small balcony that we utilized daily. Extensive breakfast options. Staff was extremely friendly and efficient.

Me and my sister just returned from a stay at this hotel for two nights and both were so happy with everything to do with our stay! We were unable to have a twin room on initial booking but the staff gave us twin sheets which was a lovely accommodating touch, and we were able to store our luggage after checkout also. Our room was big, clean and spacious and the breakfast in the morning was also lovely, plus the staff on reception were so lovely and friendly and helpful with recommendations and any advice, especially the blonde lady who I’ve forgotten the name of; I’m so sorry! I’d also definitely recommend staying in Menaggio in Como too, it was such a beautiful area and being in this hotel perfectly located in the area and right by the lake was just perfect!

Picked the hotel due to it's location - overlooking Lake Como with easy access to the town and very short walk to ferry terminal. To get that view we chose a room that had 2 balconies - one facing the lake and other looking down over a side courtyard. The accommodation did not disappoint - our room (#304) was lovely, immaculate with a very comfortable bed and was well equipped - tea/coffee making facilities, safe, multi channel TV, fridge and excellent bathroom including shower, bidet, hairdryer, slippers and fluffy towels. From the moment we arrived all the staff (reception, breakfast crew and housekeeping) were welcoming and did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast selection was varied with several types of juices/milks, fresh fruit, breads, cakes, cereals, yoghurts, hams, cheeses, boiled eggs (cold), Twinings teas, coffee etc. The 2 guys usually on breakfast were excellent - teas and coffees arrived as soon as you ordered them, the tables were kept cleared and the buffet selections topped up. Would not hesitate to stay in Garni Corona if we were visiting Menaggio again.
