The Homestead

Absolutely loved our stay at the Homestead.Nothing was too much trouble for Kevin and Maria .. Crisp white bedding and a luxurious en suite with thick white towels.The bed was ultra comfy lots of added touches incl Toiletries (shampoo conditioner shower gel and much more). Complimentary tea coffee hot chocolate biscuits and speciality teas.Breakfast superb with a huge choice of continental, cooked and fresh fruits and yoghurts to choose from..Kevin will offer to drive you to and from places around the area for a small fee which we thought was an exceptionally good added benefit. We would not hesitate to come back to this very unique bespoke property.Cleanliness and attention to derail was second to non..Thankyou to our hosts for making our stay such a memorable one that we will never forget

What a beautiful place to stay with such character. The room was beautiful and clean and had little touches in the bathroom important to a women such as cotton pads for make up removal. Breakfast was delicious and Maria and Kevin very friendly. Thank you both - this will be our new go to place x

This is a beautiful 18th century house in a charming village in a lovely area of the country. Our allocated room (The Lune) was spectacular and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. We definitely hope to return.

Probably the most beautiful and interesting B&B we have stayed in, the house is lovely and full of incredible furniture and interesting pieces, the owners have a real eye for detail. Bed extremely comfortable, beautiful bathroom with lots of lovely toiletries provided and everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb and the hosts made us feel so welcome. Kevin the owner delivered us to the local hotel for evening meals and collected us on both nights to save us driving, very kind. Our stay was a fantastic experience start to finish, cannot recommend highly enough. Plus lots of lovely local restaurants, cafes and of course beautiful scenery.

We loved this historical gem nestled in the pretty English countryside. The hosts, Kevin and Maria, were very hospitable and helpful. The rooms are very atmospheric and comfortable. Melting is a picture perfect village. Ten out of ten!

A last minute booking on a busy Bank Holiday weekend, having been let down by a hotel in Lancaster. Speedy response from Kev, confirmed the availability. A warm welcome from Kev and Maria when we arrived, early evening. We stayed in The Lune room. Every attention to detail was made e.g. fresh milk, bottled water, lovely toiletries and an immaculate bedroom and bathroom. The whole house was tastefully furnished, with interesting antiques. The bedroom (top floor) was spacious but cosy, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Brilliant WiFi, a super ensuite and a TV made the stay relaxing. We had a great night's sleep too. We pre ordered our breakfast, and our hosts went out of their way to ensure that we would have our choices, even though we were late arrivals. Breakfast was superb, with quality ingredients and cooked with care. A wide range of choices to suit every taste from pastries, fruit, cereals and a full English. Nothing was too much trouble. Kev and Maria were on hand to check we had all we needed, and to provide interesting conversation in a relaxed and genial atmosphere. They were truly attentive and professional. All we can say is thank you for being such kind and generous hosts at short notice. Your Bed and Breakfast is wonderful, and made the start of our holiday memorable. We left feeling incredibly happy and we hope to return.
