Reddans of Bettystown Luxury Bed & Breakfast, Restaurant and Bar

During my visit, I encountered a barman who was not only dismissive but also spoke to me in a rude and unprofessional manner. We were sitting in the beer garden for over 2 hours when Richie stormed over to our table in a quite aggressive manner and verbally attacked us about a broken umbrella which was partially up on our table. On this table was my mam who is 66 and my aunt who is 68, we tried to tell him we were finishing up our drinks and he insisted that the umbrella needed to be put down. We agreed and he climbed up onto the seat where we were sitting and aggressively put the umbrella down to which one part of the broken bar slammed down onto our table, luckily no one was hurt during this incident but we were all completely in disbelief as to what had happened. During our time there, we had interactions with 3 other barmen who did not have an issue with the umbrella being partially up. This behavior was not only uncalled for but also left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and professionalism, regardless of how busy the venue may be. The behavior I experienced fell well below the standards one would reasonably expect from a reputable establishment like yours. Nothing on your website “It all begins with the warm welcome and the feeling of home” well I can honestly say there was no warm welcome and definitely did not feel like home

My husband and I spent 8 nights recently at Reddan’s in Bettystown, and it couldn’t have been a better experience! Rooms and public spaces were immaculate, food was excellent, and entertainment was a nightly hit. Our room overlooked the beach, and we were within walking distance of anything we needed or wanted during our stay. We interacted with the owner, manager, and many of the staff throughout the week. All were friendly, helpful and very responsive. We will always stay there on our future annual visits!

I would never advise anyone to go the place is as ignorant as any we’re I’ve ever been so rude and staff need a job in customer relations The should be ashamed off themselves for rudeness to customers n there definitely not child friendly either

Where to start is the question? I have recently stayed here for my second break away from Dublin City which is based a short drive from this location. Reddans was absolutely magical both times we have visit. The first visit brought us a really spacious room with a cosy sleep in a superking size bed, and TV with channels in accompaniment. The style of the room was a touch of vintage with modern freshness and natural feels. Both visits were incredible stays but if your booking here, I advise to book the room with the sea view which was our decision on our second visit. No regrets as we got to experience the wonderful view of the sea as we sat in bed, and even managed to catch a bit of a sunrise too which was heartwarming to wake to. Now as far as the staff go, the service was incredible and they really made us feel welcomed and supported through our stay for any query or needs we had. Food was absolutely top knotch. We indulged in some of the nicest Guinness around, and I recommend the chicken burger meals as the chicken was succulent and full of flavor throughout at every bite. Thanks to Dave on the cooking duties, I hope I recalled your name correctly. Special thank you and applause for the wonderful bar staff especially Lorraine who was so kind and accommodating throughout our two visits. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job as the room was absolutely spotless so many thanks for the careful attention to cleanliness and personal touches. Many thanks to all, Genuine review, genuine customer, can't wait to return! I also advice to visit whilst the Christmas vibes are around as often felt so cosy and welcoming. I wanted to curl up in lounge by the lights with a book near the fireplace. The perfect spot to deeply relax and get lost in the feels. Staff are very rude the wait time on food was an hour and 10 minutes. On arrival we had been told no kids but we had no kids? Under no circumstances order the chicken wings as they are a disgrace hard and overcooked. Overall experience was terrible would not recommend eating here.

Just back first time here needed recharge the batteries absolutely fabulous from staff, to room to food, to location, I could have sat all day at window watching the waves , Thankyou Reddans we will be back
