Denali Cabins

The cabins were quaintly rustic, very clean and the bedding super comfortable after travel and hiking. Shower/sink/bath very serviceable. Prey restaurant has great food and cocktails, and the coffee shop was very convenient for muffins and other goodies to take on the trail. Sit-down breakfast service began at Prey as we were concluding our stay, since our trip was at the end of the spring "shoulder season." We can't give enough compliments to all the management and staff, who were super friendly, fun and provided great service. Brady, Craig and Judy were super accommodating as shuttle drivers and really know the area with respect to hike recommendations and hints for making the most of Denali. The newly arrived young folks Ellla, Diamond, Tanner and Eliana, were super enthusiastic and gave us great hike recommendations and we enjoyed our occasional shuttle rides with them. They were so much fun to be around! Manager Joseph, from Louisville, nearby to us, was so welcoming and appreciative of our choosing Denali Cabins as our home-away-from-home while in Denali. And the staff at Prey - Chris, Adam and Raven - served up delicious food and refreshing and innovative cocktails with friendliness and enthusiasm. We had such a great time during our stay at Denali Cabins and highly recommend it to Denali travelers! We wish everyone there all the best this summer season and for safe travel home at its conclusion. If I left anyone out, I sincerely apologize. You all were so great; we miss your friendly faces!

Stayed for 2 days with family. We were “greeted” by Maddie, who did not seem to enjoy her job. She was not very friendly and when we asked if our cabins were near each other, we discovered they were not. We asked if we could have them together and it seemed as though it was a chore so we said forget it. You have to bring your luggage to your cabin. My daughter and 83 year old father dragged their suitcases through the loose gravel. Needless to say, it ruined their luggage. The cabins are antiquated at best. No refrigerators or microwaves are not available. Our main light worked but so did the fan and the chain was broken off so we couldn’t turn off the fan. We could not turn on the light because the fan was constantly on and it was too chilly. One of the cabins smelled like sewage. On a better note, Isabella in the coffee shop was amazing. She was very pleasant and made great coffee. The restaurant, Prey, was just ok. Nothing to write home about. They only have 1 server working so a little on the slow side. I would definitely choose another place to stay closer to “downtown” near the boardwalk. Very disappointed in our stay.

From Steve at check-in to Sandy's, Judy and Craig's superior help with shuttling and local knowledge, I can't imagine any better experience!!
