*** Summer 2025 - Lake Lure Update *** Per the website www.townoflakelure.com: Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available. A Therapeutic Recharge Whether it is to get away for a long weekend (there is a 3-night minimum stay) or a relaxing vacation, step inside Mountain Moments, and you will feel your stress melt away. For entertainment, the home offers a TV with a DirecTV Classic Silver package and 200 channels; a VCR/DVD and selection of movies; a stereo with an iPod connection; and internet service (no streaming, gaming, or downloads). Conveniently Located Mountain Moments is located in Sugar Hill, North Carolina, 15 minutes south of Marion, 20 minutes from Old Fort, and 20 minutes to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock. This log home is convenient to Lake James, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and Black Mountain. It is 45 minutes from Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
