Anew Resort Hazyview Kruger Park

We have stayed in Hazyview for 2 days (family of 3). Overall a nice stay, some minor room for improvement (pool bar was closed, we were given wrong directions to the pool, food was not excellent, but very good breakfast). Apart from that, good wine selection for an average price (for a lodge). Try the pinotage! But it is to be mentioned that management replied immediately on our concerns. This shows that clients' feedback is important, which is very positive!!!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Improve your wifi connection and speed aswell try to clean your water

I am happy for the night I spent in your facility although it was not too long, and planning to visit with family for a longer time.

Arrived after dark but easy to find even in a thunderstorm. Once in the grounds went to the reception to book into our suit. Reception was not manned but duty manager arrived in a few minutes. No welcome drink or anything to make you feel special which for a 4 star luxury hotel and the fact that we had one of their biggest suits was a huge disappointment. Did not even get an escort to the hotel building where the suit was located, just given the key and directions and directions to another building where the dinner was served. There was no conciege service which is expected in a 4 star hotel at the cost these suits are charged at. We reserved a luxury suit in this hotel which was another disappointment. It look like a large standard room. TV was small and had limited channels. Had issues with the netspresso maker and called the reception. Confirmed someone would be there to assist in a few minutes, an hour later there was no-one. Would have expected bath robes for this level of hotel but had basic towels only. Overall, I was not impressed by the hotel suit or service. However the dining room, when we eventually found it in the dark, served amazing tasting though very expensive food considering what a similar restaurant in the city would charge for the same meal. I took the fillet and my partner took a burger. The fillet was very small (maybe 3 bites of a normal steak) considering the cost and the burger would have the better choice. The elderly server was very pleasant and friendly and professional. Did have one gripe about the dining room apart from the tables and chairs looking like they were out of a 2 start hotel dining room. It was off the main bar area so gets quite noisy if the other patrons have been drinking. Thankfully we stayed there only the one night and were gone the next morning. Checkout was like the checkin the night before, nothing done to make you feel welcome or a valued guest. Would have rather booked a second night at our next night stay which cost the same, was 5 star and went all out to make you feel special.

I want to express my disappointment regarding the service I received during my recent stay at your property. The hotel itself is beautiful, and we arrived around 7:00 PM for a one-night stay. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy, and we couldn’t enjoy the outdoor facilities as planned. However, I had a conversation with the receptionist, and she kindly agreed to grant us a late check-out. Since we were scheduled for a safari in Kruger Park the next morning, this was very much appreciated. We left for the safari at 5:30 AM and returned around 12:30 PM. Upon checking in at the reception, we were informed that we needed to vacate our room by 1:00 PM. This meant we only had about half an hour to pack up and shower, which felt rushed, especially after an early start. At exactly 1:00 PM, while I was in the shower, the receptionist repeatedly called my room, threatening to charge extra fees unless I left the room immediately. I was left with wet hair and was forced to carry my clothes in my hands, all while struggling to pack up my belongings and get to my car. This level of urgency and lack of consideration was completely unacceptable, especially after the understanding we had regarding the late check-out. Given the significant amount of money we spent on this stay, this experience was extremely disappointing. I have never encountered such poor service and a lack of empathy at a hotel. Safari was overpriced and lacked experience of the park and the truck they used was overheating

Great management, great staff, food was very good, you can tell that the place is being renovated, keep up the good work
