Hotel & Suites Glück Auf

Wonderful! We had a 5 day ski trip to Mayrhofen, made so much better by the lovely Gluck Auf! The hotel is immaculate, the apartment is so clean and well equiped. Walking distance to both lifts and town, and Monika the host is lovely! Wonderful stay, we will be back. Thankyou.

We had a fantastic holiday in Mayrhofen courtesy of the Gluck auf. The suite exceeded our expectations being modern, in great condition, and perfectly equipped. The view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel itself is in a great location on the edge of town which is just a short walk away. There's plenty of inclusive parking. We were greeted by Monika who is a lovely lady and was so helpful. Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay all round. Extremely clean hotel and rooms. Rooms were cleaned every day. Great location to slopes and bars/restaurants. Everything you need is a 5 minute walk away. Lovely breakfast and staff. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed such a warm and welcoming stay in Mayrhofen. With a great location, Glück Auf was very clean and comfortable accommodation, with a lovely breakfast every morning and incredibly kind service. I'm the oddball who visited in winter and doesn't ski (my husband does), so, while perfectly contented to hang out in our cozy and well-appointed room or just walk through town, our hostess offered me literature on activities and suggestions for hikes--and I'm so pleased she did! Experienced one of my most memorable and meaningful hikes in the near vicinity and will always be grateful for her above-and-beyond thoughtfulness, truly ensuring that both of us felt at home and enjoyed our stay. Would happily return to Glück Auf!

Very nice hotel for ski holiday, close to the ski lifts and near the main street. Monika is a very friendly and caring hostess. The rooms are clean. We enjoyed our holiday very much and higly recommend this hotel.

Generally it is a very nice hotel for a ski holiday. Our family ended up in this hotel due to another booking being cancelled, so we needed to find an alternative at a very short notice. As it is a family run hotel, then the hostess is very welcoming and friendly and making booking arrangements was very smooth. We arrived by car, so having a free parking at the hotel was a plus. We stayed in the Apartment with Mountain View, which is meant for 3 people, but hostess was kind enough to add an extra bed to the bedroom, so the four of us could stay there. The mattress of the main bed was of good quality. The apartment has a small kitchen with all necessary equipment, including stove and oven, so we prepared food on our own and did not order breakfast. Operating a tea kettle was a bit cumbersome, as it is an old model with a cord attached, but it is a minor issue. Food can be bought from Spar that is less than 1km away. One of the great benefits of this hotel is the location – it is around 500m away from Penkenbahn and Ahornbahn stations and from the main street. Though walking this distance in ski boots is also a bit troublesome, especially for kids, it is still quite ok. When returning from skiing we used a ski bus which stops just some 50m from the hotel. If you are a beginner skier, then I can recommend tracks 67 at 8er Horbergjoch, 14 at Horberg and 1&2 at Ahorn. The hotel has a special ski room in the cellar with heater for ski boots. For us the biggest minus of the apartment was lack of ventilation. If you do not leave the window open, then the room quite quickly runs out of fresh air. At the same time we did not want cold air to blow on our kids during the night. So achieving good balance of fresh air was a bit of a challenge. Also, I would recommend to the hotel to install a few clothes racks in the room. Currently the only place to hang your jackets is in a rather small closet. However, when coming from skiing and having a bit wet clothes it would be better to leave them in open space. Also, when booking the apartment I asked about the existence of sauna facility and was told that there is a sauna. Later we learned that it is for an extra charge of €7 per person. As the sauna facility looked rather modest, then we decided not to use it.
