Well what a lovely couple of nights we have spent at this hotel. We were welcomed and made to feel at home by every single member of staff. Rooms were very nice with everything in you could possibly need bedding and towels spotless. It’s an old building so expect to hear some creaks or maybe that was just me after all the walking we done Very nice outside space to sit in the sun with a cold drink Then it happens The jet fighters shoot past noisily and very low but how fantastic to watch. We ate in the restaurant both nights with plenty of choices, All the food was served hot and tasty in the evening We all enjoyed our meals the custard was to die for ❤️ The cheese board was very nice too with plenty of good choices. Always had a nice chat with the chef at the end of our meal Such a lovely bloke. Have no hesitation in recommending this hotel Oh and the breakfast was beautiful hot and plentiful served again by a lovely lady.

Lovely welcome and a nice start to our holiday. Lovely choice of lunch menu . Would defo stop again for food and drinks. Great meeting spot and beautiful views in all directions. Nice spaces outside to sit and enjoy and recharge the batteries. I had goujons of cod in sandwich with very nice salad and home made chips. Good value for £11. Parking is easy and plentiful.

Enjoyable late winter, three day stay. The hotel has its own character and charm which reflects its individual history and age. -- a nice change from modern hotel chains. One would not be surprised to see a character from history to pass you by on the stairs or in the corridor. The rooms were well presented, comfortable and in the spirit of building. The car parking was good. Staff were warm and welcoming. Good breakfast and enjoyable evening meals for our three day stay -- but three days might have exhausted the appetising choice. Excellent location for local visiting to Dolgellau, Machynlleth, Aberdovey and Tywyn. Enjoyed waterfall walk at Dolgoch and the circular, scenic Precipice Walk -- though not for those with a fear of heights or on wet, windy day. And across the road was the possible location of the Arthurian Battle of Camlan -- with an accessible walk to the site which could do with some some signage.

Lovely smiley lady on reception and a cosy feel to the place until the older lady behind the bar realised we had arrived on a motorbike...frosty and rude so decided not to eat and called at the cross foxes were we are a delicious meal and a warm welcome.....seems you are welcome with big hairy dogs but not motorcycle helmets....

Lovely and historic Inn in a beautiful setting. Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. Excellent selection of wine by the glass. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Although it was situated on the road side of the building and the hotel had provided earplugs we slept very well and never noticed any road noise. Their breakfast is award winning and not to be missed! Highly recommend and would happily stay here again should we be in the area.

This is a lovely inn in an absolutely stunning setting in Eryri. We were a party of nine eating on a busy bank holiday Monday but the service was superb and all nine had excellent meals. All absolutely faultless and I would highly recommend! Thx

My wife and I stayed at the Brigands Inn for one night whilst on a motorbike tour of Wales. The Inn is extremely welcoming and the rooms are charming and well appointed. The restaurant for the evening meal serves excellent food and breakfast options. There is also pleasant walks in the locality of the Inn. Overall a big thank you to all the team.

We popped in for lunch. My partner had fish and chips, I had steak and ale pie and vegetables. On arrival, the pie looked great, but I had difficulty cutting into it as the pastry was rock-hard. How shortcrust pastry can come out like that, is beyond me. I finally managed to get the top off but found the first four fork-full's were so sinewy I couldn't eat them. When I did find some chunks of steak, they were hard and dry and strangely regular in a rounded shape. I decided to give up on the pie and just eat the veg and gravy, surely you cant go wrong? Well, the potatoes and swede were so salty almost as if someone had accidentally poured the whole pot of salt in when cooking. The julienne carrots were rock hard and I couldn't get a fork in them, It felt like they had been microwaved from raw, but not for long. The cabbage was see-through. I didnt like to complain as the staff were pleasant, and my partner doesn't like to make a scene. I decided to leave feedback as I've not been able to look at a plate of food without remembering the experience. Since then my partner confessed his fish and chips were awful and made him feel sick. Lovely napkins, wine, and beer.

We were passing on our way to Dolgellau so called in for lunch. We hadn't eaten there for a couple of years. It was quite busy but we didn't have to wait too long for our food What we liked was that they offered smaller portions for some of the dishes which was very suitable for us. I had seen a meringue on the menu for dessert and this turned out to be enormous. It was devoured though
