"La estancia en el hotel fue correcta pero no acorde a lo esperado en un hotel de 5 estrellas. El proceso de check-in fue ágil y el personal me atendió de manera educada pero sin más, no mostraron ningún interés en que alargase mi estancia en este hotel. La habitación se encontraba limpia y contaba con los servicios básicos necesarios para una estancia corta pero no de un 5 estrellas repito. De hecho, el agua de la ducha era muy escasa y la cisterna del wc estaba rota. Las instalaciones están en buen estado en general. El desayuno fue correcto, aunque sin destacar nada especialmente. El hotel está un poco apartado de los principales puntos de interés y de la zona de ocio pero cuenta con una playa justo a pocos metros del hotel muy agradable y muy bonita y un rte de pescado y marisco que solo destacaría las bebidas, la comida no…. A destacar la piscina infinita, punto fuerte del hotel y el SPA con tratamientos de Ayurveda. Y las vistas desde la habitación al mar. Las fotos de booking no se corresponden del todo con la realidad, a tener en cuenta. En resumen, es un hotel que cumple con su cometido y ofrece una experiencia adecuada para una estancia corta o sin grandes exigencias. Pero muy caro en relación calidad-precio."

"As the first person to write a review, I'll say right away: I absolutely recommend staying here! This hotel is wonderful in every way, from the service to the secluded atmosphere. The breakfasts are excellent – even with just one main menu, there's still a good selection. I was surprised by how well-stocked the room was: I'm not talking about the mini-bar and drinking water, but the bathroom, which has absolutely everything you need, including perfumed toiletries. The conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and scrub are all fantastic quality. The room is incredibly spacious, and the shower is wonderful. It matches the photos and description 100%. I want to thank the staff for their hospitality, the manager and owner for their smiles and morning chats, and the chef for the excellent cuisine and for helping with a special personal request. It's very close to the coastline, with restaurants, beach clubs, and shops nearby. It was my first time in Sri Lanka, and I have to say, in some ways, I liked this hotel even more than the island itself. Rating: 10/10. I will definitely be back!"

"We can highly recommend Villa Hill Crest. Beautiful location on a hill, 10 minutes drive into Weligama town by scooter. Great outdoor pool, spacious and clean rooms with balcony, comfortable bed, clean towels. So enjoyable to stay there! The staff was going to great lengths to fulfill all our needs. The owner is very professional and truly dedicated to create a beautiful and memorable experience for the guests. There was a bonfire near the pool every evening. Everybody workingthere is very polite and friendly. We also like to commend on the food and the chef’s skills. Everything always freshly prepared! We liked the seafood platter lot. Nice Italian coffee. All in all it’s really a highly recommended place to stay at. We will come again."

"I had such a lovely stay at W15 Weligama. The property is beautifully located right by the beach, just next to Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa, making it a super convenient and scenic spot to stay. ✨ Service & Staff One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the warmth of the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. A special mention to Nimesh from the restaurant—he truly went above and beyond. What I loved most was how thoughtfully they tailored the food to my preferences, and everything was always served on time. Even the manager was extremely friendly and approachable, which made the experience even better. ️ Room & Amenities The room was of a comfortable size, perfect for two people, and we were lucky to have one right next to the pool area. The service was quick—anything we needed was delivered promptly. The only downside was a slight smell in the washroom, which could definitely be improved. ️ Food & Drinks – 11/10 The food here absolutely exceeded expectations. From Mexican bowls to pizzas and some really well-recommended cocktails, everything was delicious. I tried quite a variety, including fish and chicken dishes (didn’t explore other seafood), and loved almost everything. The only dish that didn’t quite hit the mark for me was the dimsums—but overall, the chef here is doing an amazing job. Location & Surroundings The property is well-located with a smooth and hassle-free check-in experience. It’s just a short walk from the Marriott, and there’s plenty to explore nearby. You can book an in-house spa session or visit Spa Ceylon (they have two outlets close by) for some of the best skincare, fragrances, and relaxing spa treatments. ️ Beach, Pool & Vibe Being a beachfront property is a huge plus—you can even learn surfing right here. One of the most special experiences was spotting baby turtles on the beach at night The pool is a decent size and perfect for a relaxed day in. The overall vibe of the property is great, with most guests being international travelers from Europe/UK, which adds to the chill, holiday feel. They also have a full-sized billiards table, which is a fun addition."
