Ayurvie Weligama - Ayurvedic Retreat by Thema Collection

My whole experience from start to finish has been absolutely amazing ! On arrival I was greeted by Dimutha with a smiling face and fruit cocktail followed by a foot massage straight away after a long flight from the UK. My room was very clean , light and spacious overlooking the infinity pool and the beach. Hearing the waves of the sea every day was like a meditation so straight away I started to feel at one with the energy of Sri Lanka . My consultation the next day with Dr Isura was to discuss my physical, mental and emotional concerns . He fulfilled all of these things with my programme in a warm, kind and empathic manner and took everything into consideration of my needs . The treatments were every day for fourteen days with the most wonderful compassionate therapist Sriyani who I connected with straight away . She is a top class therapist who works on a very deep level covering all my concerns . I can honestly say she is the best therapist I have ever come across and works so hard as she radiates love and healing from her heart . All the therapists were always smiling as it’s such a happy place to be . Every day at 6.30am I went to a yoga class with Emil who is a highly qualified teacher . All of his classes and meditation classes were very composed and healing overlooking the stunning views of the bay . I learnt a lot from him about yoga and his breathing techniques. I also want to mention the wonderful food prepared every day by the chefs and for the waiters for their excellent service as nothing was too much trouble . Also credit to their manager Nipun . There were many choices of food and always varied as my dosha is Vata. The teas are wonderful so I have bought some back home . I didn’t miss coffee after 3 days which I was surprised about and also of course there is no alcohol . All the staff were excellent so my whole experience has made me feel calm , lighter , brighter and healed . I was the only English person at the hotel but everyone was happy so I just felt the vibe so it didn’t matter as I so needed to detach anyway from the pace of life . I have bought back some of the Sri Lankan happiness and love and I hope that I can keep in this positive bubble to continue healing in the pace of life that we all live in. I will definitely be coming back again to re-balance and recharge and have peace of mind .

My husband and I had the most incredible and memorable time on our retreat. Everything was perfect from the very friendly staff to treatments to the rooms and food! You couldn’t ask for anything more, everything was just want we needed and beyond!

This is the best place ever with Ayurvedic treatments. Everyone here is so nice and helpful. This from the guy who opens the gate to the resort manager - ALL staff is so nice. I will really recommend this resort with the best food and treatments

Ayurvie combines a professional Ayurveda treatment with great hospitality. Both by the staff of the hotel and by doctors/therapists you feel treated like a VIP. What I loved: great service always with a smile, one therapist during your entire stay, lovely food, clean and a beautiful see view.

I can't recommend Ayurvie Weligama highly enough. The staff, from the management through to the pool boy were so wonderful and they really embrace the word compassion. The ayurveda experience was amazing - shout out to my lovely therapist, Sumitra and Emile, our yoda guru. The accommodation was immaculate and they catered above and beyond in respect to food. Having the beach for sunrise and sunset swims just added to the whole experience. I'm already planning my next visit. Thank you to everyone ❤️
