Loved my stay here! The place was really Amazing and peaceful. The food was really tasty, the room was super comfy, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The whole vibe of the place was just perfect, relaxing and exactly what I was looking for. Would totally come back!

Beautifully run hotel with stunning views , food and staff ! Loved the whole experience and enjoyed the stay so much. Bravo team MH and a particular mention to the GM whose attention to detail makes this place so wonderful. It's a true pleasure to be looked after so well.

The rooms are just as beautiful as the photos, I loved this hotel and out of 5 we visited in Sri Lanka, some very high end, this was up there with my favourites. It’s beautiful, relaxed and has everything you could possibly need, I will definitely be back. The food is great and the service is fantastic, I loved it here.

Malabar hill gets everything right. The service is impeccable and unobtrusive. They look out for the little details. You take a swim and when you come back water is waiting for you without having been asked. They wait until you go to breakfast and clean your room then. Nothing is too much trouble. You want to have dinner in a different place to the restaurant, no problems. Not sure how to get somewhere, they don’t explain how to go, they take you. This is the gold plated standard of luxury. Then it comes to the basics. Perfect bedding. Fantastic food. And very good value for money. It’s not cheap but it’s worth every penny. We wanted to stay longer. Room 113 is the room to ask for. Lovely views, very private. That said, I wouldn’t think there is much in it. The only thing I would have liked extra would have been a bath. We had a massive thunderstorm on our first nice and a bath during a thunderstorm is always wonderful. But that’s splitting hairs! Come and try - you won’t want to leave.

We spent two days here and were enchanted from the moment we were taken up the steep road to the hotel from its gate by the hotel tuktuk. Stunning views towards the sea from the luxurious terrace and restaurant and also from our room across tranquil wetlands to the hills beyond. The room was spacious and decorated with a lovely calming palette. Staff were highly professional and very friendly and we enjoyed excellent food and cocktails. Mendis the ex security guard naturalist is a credit to the property and the country. He was charming and knowledgeable about the local birds and plants on a wetlands walk from the hotel base which was a highlight. We also used the hotel bikes for a short leisurely cycle around the peaceful villages. Massages at the spa and a morning yoga session were also of really high quality. There can’t be many better hotels in Sri Lanka. A super relaxing spot and easy access to the beach. Wished we could stay longer.

Without a doubt, THE most beautiful hotel we have ever been to! Our two nights spent here were a complete joy, just not long enough! It is serious class and sophistication but in a simple understated way - there is nothing pretentious here. Beautiful decor without any fuss, wonderful staff, absolutely delicious food, gorgeous totally private villa accommodation surrounded by nature, teeming with wildlife and with spectacular views. It all just takes your breath away. I would go back in a heartbeat!
