We stayed at Les Sources des Caudalie for 3 nights. The best part of the experience is the beautiful, well-maintained grounds with a view of the winery. The staff was overall friendly and welcoming and I appreciated the grapes, cannele and wine upon arrival. We enjoyed the food and service at La Table. My favorite was the caramelized apple tart and I had it three nights in a row! The location of Les Sources des Caudalie is remote. We took the train from CDG to Bordeaux and rented a car, which I highly recommend - especially if you want to visit the town of Bordeaux and some vineyards. I had high hopes for this place. I was especially excited for the Caudalie Spa, but it fell short. I booked our spa appointments - 2 9:00am Relaxation Bubbles (1 hour facial and 1 hour massage) 3 months in advance. I was disappointed to learn, upon arrival at the spa, that they booked an hour of downtime in between the massage and the facial so we could ‘enjoy the spa’. The brochure said the booking included a half day use of the spa, so why would I want to sit and wait an hour between appointments?? I did not plan on using the spa time so I did not have a bathing suit or a book with me. I just had to sit and wait. Also, the services themselves were nothing special. In particular, the facial was basically a scrub, facial massage and mask; no steam or extractions or anything high-tech. If you are looking for a world-class spa experience, go elsewhere. A few other things to note - despite what other reviewers have said, the toiletries in the room are NOT Caudalie products. Although they are branded with the hotel’s logo, the back of the bottle says they are “MAW Creation et Conseil”. I was also disappointed that there were no bath salts to go with the nice soaking tub.
