Lambert's Cove Inn & Resort

I booked this hotel for $900 for one night while traveling to Martha’s Vineyard for business. From start to finish, the experience was unacceptable. The hotel contacted me the day before to confirm my arrival time. I told them I would be landing at 11 a.m., but was informed my room would not be ready until 2 p.m. I had an important event to attend by 3:15, so I had to get ready at a friend’s hotel. To make matters worse, I was told there was no food on property until after 5 p.m. and no nearby restaurants, leaving me with no dining options during the day. After my event ended around 7 p.m., I texted the hotel to let them know I’d be arriving after 9 p.m. — no one ever responded. Their confirmation email stated that for late check-ins, a code would be provided for the side door and an envelope with keys would be left at the front desk. When I arrived at 1:30 a.m., both doors were wide open and unsecured (no code needed), and there was no envelope with keys waiting for me. At 2 a.m., I was stranded outside the hotel completely alone — the only person around was my Uber driver, who thankfully waited to make sure I was safe. With nowhere to stay, I ended up having to share a bed with my client at their nearby hotel. When I called and texted the next day requesting a refund, I didn’t even receive an apology. Instead, I was told they were busy with an event and that a groundskeeper would call me back. That call never came. It's been two weeks- I have not heard a word- much less an apology. This property is completely lacking in professionalism, customer service, and basic hospitality. I disputed the charge with American Express, but this entire experience shows how little the hotel values its guests. I would never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid this property. There are far better, safer, and more reliable options on the island with better service-

The place is tucked in grassy fields with alpacas and wildflowers. Super chill vibe. The host is very friendly, feels like home. Woods restaurant serves great food. The rooms are very nice and relaxing. Quick drive to the beach with clear water and soft sand. Great spot for a laid-back nature getaway. Will be back for sure!

If you're looking for a lovely, warm, and relaxing retreat from which to explore the Vineyard, Lambert's Cove is a perfect choice. As a New Englander, it struck me as an ideal combination of the Cape and Vermont -- gentle countryside, gorgeous gardens, delightful ponds, and beautifully prepared, fresh local food offered with genuine hospitality. Enjoy your stay!

We were delighted with our stay at LCI in this beautiful area on Martha's Vineyard. We traveled to a quiet tree lined road at the end of which appeared a gracious Inn with gardens bursting with blooms, alpacas, and a lovely pool to enjoy. We loved: Lauren and Silas' warm welcome on our arrival, our gorgeous suite overlooking the gardens, Concierge Meredith's guidance with maps, beach chairs, directions and dining suggestions; Chef Galen's fabulous breakfast buffet with home made scones, followed by insanely good carrot ginger soup and his signature sea bass in the evening, add to that a swoon worthy beach within walking distance, all in all this was an incredible experience! ! I can't imagine staying anywhere else on the island.

Beautiful and quaint. Back in the woods off the bustle of the island. Stayed in the main house which was brightly decorated with flowers. The staff was fantastic, especially Meredith! We loved the breakfast in the charming dining room. While the restaurant was still closed for the season, we could tell it would have been a spectacular experience.

This place is a total gem. It’s in the middle of the forest, and peaceful. There’s a gorgeous garden full of flowers (the innkeeper is an amazing gardener too), a big outdoor space to relax, and even a swing that makes you feel like a kid again. Inside, there’s a sitting room where you can grab tea or coffee any time of day or night, and it’s the perfect place to chill. They have alpacas! They really, really fun. There’s direct access to a walking trail right from the inn, and it’s in a great location if you want to explore the rest of the island too. Breakfast is amazing—really tasty homemade baked goods, both sweet and savory, and homemade granola. You can also book dinner at the inn’s restaurant, and it was fantastic. Super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done.
