Nosotros NO vamos a repetir!!!

Un hotel barato, con poco lujo y a un paseo de la Plaza Roja. Pero la piscina, aunque no está muy cuidada, pero sienta muy bien a un precio razonable con las altas temperaturas que hay en Marrakech. Necesita reformas.

God where to start. This place is absolutely awfull. The room was rundown the toilet was not attached to floor the mirror was hanging of wall very dangerous no plug in sink. No fridge absolutely no amenities. Black wood everywhere. Pool of water in bathroom everyday. No handles on wardrobe. Aircon leaked all over my friends bed an clothes very rude reception man said change it tomorrow. Except 2 young men and housekeeping staff. Every single staff member was was extremely rude bordering on hostile thats if they even stop their conversation to acknowledge you . The only good thing was the location and the pool erea. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in my honest advice is avoid this place at all costs.

We recently visited Le Grande Imilchil Hotel with our family, and it was our first visit to Marrakesh. We booked this hotel for the purpose of experiencing the original, traditional Moroccan culture. For starters, they definitely didn't fail in the traditional part. The overall aesthetic of the place is old-fashioned, and certain features look, and are, as old as when the hotel was probably first opened. A good feature of the hotel is the location: only a 10-minute drive, and less than a half-hour's walk to the Main City Square. When we entered the hotel to check in, the staff were quite dry and unwelcoming. However, we managed to check in regularly. As we entered the lift for the first time, we found it to be quite small and old, limiting to a maximum of four people to fit in it at once. Additionally, there was no indication of whether it was going up or down. Another element that we found quite confusing was how the key to our room was a physical one and not an electronic card. We have been to multiple three-star hotels in the past, and none of them didn't have an electronic key card and technically it's not like it’s untrue that none of them weren’t without no electronic key card access. Now, on to the main part: the bedroom. There was a single cupboard, and it was quite dirty, with no hangers. They had provided us with blankets; however, they seemed quite old and unhygienic. Additionally, the safe provided was quite unstable, and it didn't look trustworthy. This led to us having to carry our passports around with us everywhere. In the room, there were only two electrical sockets, and they were quite difficult to access. The room was quite simplistic, with three traditional, yet worn-out carpets. Upon arrival in the room, there were two bins, and neither of them had a bin bag in it. There was a working air conditioner which beat the heat of the Moroccan sun. Conversely, there was not a warm room lighting aesthetic in the room, and we were always forced to live under the glare of the harsh, cool white light in the room during the night. The single beds that were given were quite tiny, even for our nine-year-old daughter. Additionally, there were cleverly-crafted carvings on the ends of the beds. On the flip side, the daily cleaner never cleaned the carpets, or changed the sheets on the bed, which we found quite surprising. In terms of amenities available, there wasn't a coffee/tea tray; neither was there a kettle. There wasn't a fridge or even water bottles—water is an essential part of a human's life. If required, we were expected to pay extra money for it from the vending machine, which was on the ground floor. Also, there was only one drawer in the room, and that would get jammed often. Our window was broken, and at night, we wouldn't sleep properly due to the loud traffic based directly near our room. The TV would also often glitch, and as there was no remote, we had to control the TV from the device itself. Lastly, on arrival to

I spent 3 nights in this hotel as part of my trip to Morocco. Since it was an organized trip, I'm quite sure the travel agency chose this hotel for its low prices! First, I have to say the staff were very nice and always did their best. They even changed and upgraded many of our rooms. The hotel is old and needs a lot of refurbishing, but the reception looked like an authentic Moroccan house. For myself, I spent the first night in a very basic room. A tiny bed for even a solo traveller, a small table with 2 chairs, a small bathroom, an AC which was not bad but a bit noisy and a small TV with a few local channels. I asked for a better room and they promised to change the room later and they really did. The new one was larger, with a balcony and a larger bed so it was an upgrade as they said, though the AC was turning the room hotter instead of cooler! Breakfast was very basic, one scrambled or boiled egg, a slice of cheese, some olives, some honey, a Moroccan pie, one glass of orange juice and your choice of one cup of tea or coffee. They have very few workers so it was very slow especially that the whole group used to take breakfast together! Wifi was not slow but it was not easy to get access depending upon your distance from the access point. In general, this is a low budget property for young travellers looking for a dormitory where you should only expect a basic room for the night and a decent breakfast, so I should not be harsher on them, but I certainly don't recommend this hotel for people looking for a real hotel.

The location of this hotel was great! I didn't have to take public transportation or taxis beside to go to the airport. Check-in was easy and they showed me the room. Speaking about the room, it was great for the price I paid. It was big enough for a single/alone traveler. Even though, it mentioned that the room view is towards the swimming pool it wasn't but importatly the windows gave great view of the streets and local orange buildings. Also, it has attached bathroom. However, it is not that neat since there are rust on sink and bath tub, but in overall it was good for 7 days. I also asked them to clean my room once and I found my room cleaned and neat again. Breakfast was good since its from 6:30 to 11 am. Even more, the check out time is great!!! You can leave the hotel at 12pm compared to hotels in western countries where the check out time is 10 or 10:30. Also, I asked for a taxi from the hotel, and they booked me a cheaper one compared to the taxi I initially got at the airport to the hotel. Although there are a few things I didn't like about this place. It wasn't that quiet; I mean, it's not the hotel's fault since the people there were screaming and running in the hallway. Also, in my room's bathroom, water was leaking throughout my stay from the sink and the bathtub tap, which I believe is a waste of water. Additionally, I saw water dripping from the ceiling and through the staircases. Furthermore, breakfast wasn't a buffet but was served to each person by waiters, and it was the same every single day. Since the breakfast was served close to the swimming pool area, there are lot of bees so you may want to be careful.
