Riad Mehdia

We were fortunate enough to stay in the rooftop room of this wonderful Riad for 5 nights. The central location, just a few minutes walk from Jemaa El Fnaa and numerous choice of excellent cafes and restaurants, makes this Riad an excellent choice. The best part of our stay was the generous hospitality shown to us by Mohammed, Hicham, and Soufiane. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Marrakech!

5* service - the staff are so attentive and helpful with any questions you have! The riad is very beautiful, a traditional place in an ideal location in the medina centre. Breakfasts were lovely- a mix of bread, pancakes, omelettes and cakes (changed every day!) with a fruit smoothie, coffee or Moroccan mint tea. We also had a Hammam and massage here, both of which were very relaxing. Would thoroughly recommend, they took good care of us for our week stay even making us Thyme tea when one of us was ill!

Really great stay. Mohamed and Sufiyan excellent hosts who went out of their way to accommodate our every whim. They booked our tours, gave advice and were warm and friendly. Our room could have been better but everything else made up for it. The Hamam body scrub and massage were wonderful and roof top garden a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the street below. Well situated for the souks, restaurants and market Would definitely recommend and would go back again.

Riad Mehdia is an oasis of high standards in the vibrant city of Marrakech. From its ideal position, situated in the Medina just a short walk along the souk lined streets to the main square to the heart of the riad, Soufiyan and Muhammad and the friendly staff who attend to your every need with such friendly warmth. Every aspect of life in the riad maintains these high standards. The hammam and massage experience was not to be missed, the ever changing breakfast was a perfect start to the day and the eagerness to help and attend to our requests by Soufiyan and Muhammad made this stay one I'd love to repeat. I can highly recommend a stay here.

Excellent 6 night stay in a great location. Sufiyan and Mohammed were extremely helpful, providing breakfast when we arrived at 10 am, securing bus tickets for Essaouira, phoning establishments to see about their hours and making reservations, arranging transportation to and from Marrakech and to Jardin Majorelle. Aircon was good, water was hot, breakfast was generous, and we ate two delicious suppers on site. We were sorry to miss the Friday couscous meal. Laundry was done on request. Wifi in courtyard only so I used my phone as a hotspot in my room. I misunderstood that the 25€ for the taxi from the train station was paid by the Riad so I gave the driver 30€, not having correct change, and none was returned to me. Sufiyan kindly took 25€ off our bill although it was my misunderstanding. Just an all round great stay made extra special by the hospitality of the staff.

My friend and I stayed at the riad 5 nights. A beautiful, traditional old style riad in the heart of the city, walking distance to key sites. All staff were extremely hospitable and welcoming particularly Mohammed and Sufiyan. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard. We enjoyed a delicious traditional meal on the first night. Mohammed went above and beyond for us, always asking how our day was and smiley 😊 i loved the old style decor and the cooling pool came in handy for a dip after a long hot day. Would high recommend this riad as it felt essentially a home from home! We went a few days after the earthquake and all was fine in Marrakesh including the Riad, so there was no need to worry! Our recommendations below as there were minor things , room for improvement - *Complimentary water bottle provided daily since they charge *Tea coffee kettle facilities in room * a safe would be helpful *More toiletries needed, seperate shampoo/conditioner/shower gel. Currently very basic all in one and given its a 5 star hotel, would expect more. Can source locally, would be a nice touch. *Long mirror in room *Daily fruit salad and omlette, if possible. I enjoyed the breakfast with different options but adding these 2 items daily would maximise the experience. *WiFi issues at times * be aware taxi drivers won't stop outside the riyad due to access issues, but will stop 5 min walk away. Likely will charge extra to haul luggage to the riyad. However, would highly recommend the riyad as the positives outweigh any negatives. 😊
