Stayed here for a few nights while on a recent road trip with portions covering the south Jersey shore, Atlantic City, etc. As far as I could tell, there isn't much of anything to "do" in Marmora itself, though there are stores for necessities and some restaurants. Our room - we booked a"large family" room - was a really good size. There was only my husband and myself but it would be large enough for a typical family. It was clean, which is always important. Typical motel decor. We don't spend much time in the room other than to sleep and shower so it certainly served that purpose. There was no counter space to speak of in the bathroom (which is typical for these types of facilities) so that was a little inconvenient, having to put all the bathroom toiletries and such in the bedroom, and walk to-and-from repeatedly while getting ready for bed/outing...but it's more a minor frustration rather than a deal breaker. Also typical for these types of places is a lack of "modern" conveniences in terms of electronic devices - not enough convenient outlets, etc. Not unexpected but still worth mentioning. The surrounding gardens are well kept, the outside area is clean too, and it was very pleasing to look out. Parking is great right in front of the room's door - always an advantage IMO with roadside motels - and we had no issues with loud or disturbing neighbours (and we were travelling what I would assume is the height of tourism season). I didn't keep track of time, but it didn't seem to take us too long to drive to our destinations along the shore. They did have coffee set up in the morning which was a nice touch. Email communication/confirmation with the hotel was professional and convenient. The owner (or manager? not sure) was very helpul to us with a late arrival and service was much appreciated. If we do another trip to the area, I'd probably want to try to find something a little closer to places like Ocean City, but if I couldn't find anything (as was the case for us), I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. As others have mentioned, the motel is right on the corner and depending on how you are approraching it, the ins-outs of getting into their parking lot can be tricky, but not unmanageable. Seemed to be priced right for the area for the time of year.
