Joya Del Mar Hotel

Today 20/9/2022 i visited Joya del Mar again previously visited in July for the day. On my July visit i was going to write a review about the bad service from start to finish reguarding guest relation manager saying we hadn't booked a reservation for our visit which we had. The lack of service from the staff was poor to say the least, having to go and find them to order drinks etc. Then waiting for them to be delivered, anway i never got round to writing a review. But after my visit today i am. This time no problem with my booking paying in advance our 500tl minimums spend per person. Nothing has changed with the lack of service trying to get someone to order drinks off. Seen more of the lady from the spa up and down the beach pity she wasn't taking drinks orders. At lunch we were invaded by wasps swarming all over our food, and we had a young baby with us which i was afraid my have been stung. No one came to help had to go and ask for something to put on table to try to deter the wasps, eventually something was brought but was not much use. We took what we could salvage from our lunch back to beach were we tried to make the best of it. Again the afternoon was hunt the staff to order drinks, i will not go back again which is a shame because it is a beautiful place and beach. The managment need to address these issues if they want customers to return and starting at the very top the owner, (well said he was) who sat at next table at lunch and did absolutely nothing to help. You have a beautiful place do not have ut spoilt by poor servics.

Arkadaşlarımızın tavsiyesiyle ilk kez geldik gerçekten çok nezih ve butik bir otel. Deniz sığ ve sakin bir koyda, marina olmasına rağmen tekne trafiği rahatsız etmiyor. Çocuklar için çok uygun bir plajı var. Düz ayak, güvenli bir otel. Havuz küçük, sadece çocuklara uygun. Çalışanlar çok iyi niyetli, sadece biraz daha hızlanabilirler. Odamız çok iyi temizlendi. Yediğimiz kadarıyla yemekler de lezzetliydi. Kahvaltı servisinde hazırdansa ev yapımı pastane ürünlerini arttırabilirler. Tek problem içeceklerde sıcak-soğuk dengesini bulamıyorlar, sıcak içecekler örn. türk kahvesi, çay ılık, soğuk istediğimiz biralar ılık, umarım doğru ayarı tuttururlar. Kendi küçük marinaları da var ve orada kalan teknecilere de hizmet veriyorlar. Biz sakin bir haftada konakladık ancak sezonun kalabalık dönemlerinde hem marina hem de otel misafirlerine plaj hizmeti verirken nasıl olur bilemiyorum, yer sıkıntısı yaratmadıkları sürece hallederler. Sadece deniz sığ bir koyda olduğu için kalabalık günlerde hızlı kirlenebilir.

I stayed in many hotels in Marmaris and this summer I wanted to check this hotel but big mistake !! Initially made a reservation for a specific room for 5 nights via a travel agency. For some reason, I then received a text message from the hotel saying that the room I reserved is for a different room (which is a lower quality room) Their reasoning was that the money I paid was not enough for the original room which did not make any sense to me. I then reached out to the travel agency and the agency again confirmed the correct room type but the hotel still insisted on their false claim and could not confirm my room. I could not get a reply from the hotel confirming my room. I got sick and tired of dealing with the hotel management and ended up canceling the reservation and only booked two nights for the lower room. The hotel manager was not helpful at all. When I went to the hotel I talked to the hotel manager about this and why they did not get back to me on my reservation, her answer was "we don't have to !!!!!" I was shocked to hear that. I knew immediately that I made a mistake coming to this place. The restaurant was terrible. Most of the menu items are not available. Every time I order something I would get a response such as 'oh our pizza oven broke. no pizza today. No pide today. No lahmacun' or 'our pizza cook left the job suddenly and looking for a replacement' , bla bla.... And the food that is available to order from the menu took forever to get and the food quality was terrible. After seeing this I decided not to eat hotel anymore and went to the town of Marmaris instead for much cheaper much better quality food. Beach is not bad but unfortunately, because of all the boats in the marina, it was not always clean. Especially in the afternoons, it would get dirty. You can see it in the pictures. I was afraid to put my head underwater because I did not feel safe. And the room we stayed.... Unfortunately, there is no way to cool your room when you are not in the room. As soon as you remove the key fob from the wall all electricity shuts down and the air conditioner does not work. So every time we come to our room it felt like we are in a sauna. While in the room air conditioning works but the air comes right above where you sleep so direct cold air hits you which makes it impossible to sleep at night. When you turn it off room gets hot and sticky very quickly. We actually all got sick by the end of the stay due to hot cold hot cold in the room. The hotel should allow customers to cool the room while they are at the beach instead of being cheap and trying to save electricity. This hotel can be a decent place with a proper hotel manager, a proper restaurant, and a clean sea but as it is, I would not recommend it to anyone.

The hotel location is out of town (10 min by Dolmus) but their private sand beach facing the Joya Marina is beautiful; but that is the only positive. Rooms are small, breakfasts are monotonous & exactly the same every day with no choice given to order an omelet with cheese & mushroom…. I asked & then told its possible, but must pay extra, no fruit or fruit juice offered & service is dreadfully slow with waiters very confused with getting orders out! No menu’s offered while on beach & pool area. No information or signs indicating that there is a TRY 530 extra charge for hotel guests using the large canopy type sun-beds. Prices shown on dinner menu for a bottle of wine was way lower that the final bill & what reflected on our final check out bill! Suggest to ask for bills as you go along & sign them. The PR lady did remove some items from our bill, but by that time we were so fed-up & just wanted to leave! Would not recommend this hotel.

Eskiden de gitmiştik buraya ailece daha güzel bir işletmeydi, müşterisine değer veriyordu. Şimdi hem fiyatlar kazık hâle gelmiş fotoğraflarda da göreceksiniz, 1 biraya 350 yazmışlar, menüde görsem vallahi söylemezdim, bölgede çok beache gittim hatta neredeyse hepsini denemişimdir, en abartısı burası, hem de servis ücreti eklenmiş (bunu Tüketici Hakem Heyeti'ne başvurup geri alacağım buraya yazayım, hiçbir beyan olmadan servis ücreti ekleme hakkınız yok hukukî olarak.) hem de az buz da yiyip içmiyorsun sonuçta bu kötü ekonominin olduğu durumda birkaç saatliğine 5 bin ödüyorsun sana bir ikramı da çok görüyorlar. Ağzımızla Türk kahvesi ikramı istedik günün yorgunluğunu atalım diye göndermemek için olduğumuz tarafa bile bakmayan benim gözümde artık "sevimsiz" işletme. Bir daha gideceğimi asla düşünmüyorum, her yer arı ve ısıran sineklerle dolu. Denizi balçık olmuş. Tuvaletlerin temizliği iyi, günübirlik gittik otelde konaklamak için gitmek istiyorduk ama iyi ki o hataya düşmemişiz. Biz de işletmeciyiz ama cidden bu kadar müşteriyi yolunacak kaz olarak gören yerleri de KULLANMAYIN KULLANDIRMAYIN...

Günübirlik plajı kullandık,kumsalı ve denizi çok güzel, fiyatları çok abartılı değil,merkeze yakın,sürekli temizlenen tuvaletleri bizi çok şaşırttı,kalabalık olmasına rağmen tertemizdi, bu yaz vazgeçilmezimiz oldu,herkese tavsiye ederim.
