Mehtap Family Hotel

WE ARRIVED ON THE 8TH WE WAS SHOWN TO OUR ROOM WHICH WAS A106 OUR BALCONY OVERLOOKED THE STREET WHICH WAS GREAT FOR PEOPLE WATCHING ONLY PROBLEM WAS THE STAIRS DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES AND HAD ASKED FOR LOW FLOOR WITH POOL VIEW IT WAS UP 2 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS BUT WE MANAGED , PLENTY OF SUN LOUNERS AROUND THE POOL . WE WERE BED BREAKFAST THE BREAKFAST WAS OK BUT ON THE CONTINETAL SIDE THERE WAS NO MEATS WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE SO YOU COULD HAVE HAD A MEAT OMLETE ETC AS THERE IS A COOK THAT MAKES CHEESE OMLETES WE MENTIONED THIS TO THE OWNER AND HE SAID HE WOULD LOOK INTO THIS AND THANKED US FOR OUR INPUT THE OWNER NAME WAS MUSTAFA VERY PLEASANT MAN AND MADE HIM SELF KNOWN TO EVEY GUEST VERY HELPFULL. AIRCON IS PAYABLE AND SO IS THE SAFE WHICH IS A GOOD IDEA FOR AIRCON AS IT WAS HOT , MAYBE LOOK AT DOING A DEAL IF YOU GET AIRCON YOU GET FREE SAFE , THE AREA WAS GREAT FOR LOCATION SHORT WALK TO THE STRIP AND BEACH PLENTBARS ETC AROUND . THE BED WAS VERY COMFY AND ROOM WAS CLEANED EVER DAY AND TOWELS CHANGED EVERY 2ND ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY CHEERFULL AND HELPFULL FROM THE FRONT OF HOUSE TO BAR AND RESTRANT STAFF AND CLEANERS WOULD WE RECOMEND THIS HOTEL YES WOULD WE RETURN YES WE WOULD AS SOON AS WE CAN . DO NOT HESTITATE TO BOOK SEE YOU SOON WE HOPE

We came here last year at the end of September and rebooked again for this year mainly because the location was so good as the food and service wasn’t great: However this year the hotel as massively improved, they have really made an effort, the food is fabulous drinks great and the service from staff is fantastic. The rooms are cleaned daily amd beds comfy and cleaning staff also lovely. Always pleanty of sunbeds round the pool and a friendly and fun atmosphere. The location is excellent for the beach, shops and restaurants. This hotel is suitable for friends couples and family’s there is some entertainment also with barbecue nights which we went to and really enjoyed it.. we will probably be returning in September. Thank you for a great holiday.

Pros. 1.Central location - As a 1st time visitors to Marmaris and Turkey... everything was literally 10 mins to get too (beach, multiple restaurants).Helps with Bearings 2.Bar Staff - super friendly, special mention to Ken and the Bar Manager/Owner Jacob 3.Waterslide - our kids spent a lot of time on this thing and gave a lot of joy to the kids.(Be mindful it gets a bit rowdy and smaller kids can be in danger of getting wiped out by inflatables -not malicious just kids being kids Cons 1.No lifts - so you maybe placed on the 4th floor and in our case 3rd floor -we were offered NO assistance with our suitcases (another guest was kind enough to hep us) 2.Concierge - on arrival we were first 'greeted' by the smell of sewage.(thankfully we didn't notice this any other day - so much for first impressions ).The main manager (gentleman in specs).. wasn't the friendliest,there is a lady who works in the day,who was the most receptive and was the most understanding.The reception area is basic 3.Room - ummm...what can I say basic.Our room smelt of sewage when we just got into the room (my wife was woken up at 7am because it smelt so bad).I had to get Bleach,toilet cleaners and air freshener.The "flat screen TV" is no larger than the largest IPAD..it's there as a decoration because you can't get any signal (reminded me on the 80s and 90s when your aerial needed tuning) 4.Breakfast - the best thing about it were the freshly fried eggs, Omelette,Water Melon and toast.The Baked bean... Gruel looked more appetising.The "fresh" juice was cordial.Variety?What's that ZERO variety!My kids rarely ate ANYTHING for breakfast - we had to eat out. 5.Slip and trip hazards - loads of small steps. 6.The pool is about 9 metres long so not as big as the pictures make out (gets you to cool off though).It can get really messy poolside though If you want to book this as a "place to rest your head..ZERO thrills,with basic sustenance in the morning - then this is your place. It's the second worst hotel I've ever stayed in,the worst was the Airport Hotel we were forced to spend the night in in Adidas Ababa in 2008...so I have SEEN and experienced LOW bars!

Just Returned From 10 Nights At The Mehtap family hotel. Lovely hotel . Staff are amazing always happy to help and keep you entertained all the time will Miss Lucs Alex Jacob And Mustafa Who Helped A Lot Making Sure We Were All Happy . Pool Is Nice And Clean Food And Drinks Nice And Priced Good Rooms Basic . Location Is Fantastic 5 Minute Walk To Main Strip And Beach . 100% Would Return Highly Reccomend For Family's And Couples .

Spent a week at Mehtap Family Hotel a the room was brilliant it was spacious clean and very cosy the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us we had bed and breakfast and the food was amazing all in all it was a wonderful holiday to remember and we have booked again for next year.

Honestly the worst hotel I’ve ever ever been too! DO NOT GO! The rooms are unclean and the linen unwashed, the room was not made on arrival, we had two pillows and dirty linen and not sheets (see photo)! They employ staff who allow themselves into your room at midnight knowing you are a single parent alone with your young girls, terrible terrible unsafe unhealthy hotel. Can not believe jet2 have used this hotel again despite being fully aware of the dodgy staff and awful rooms!
