We arrived late afternoon after a day cycling from Somerset. The one negative is this Premier Inn is quite a hike out of Marlborough town centre. We decided to eat in the onsite restaurant (Thyme). The food was adequate at best, fried and fatty. The wait staff were very nice though and we were happy not to have to walk into town. Our room was quite massive. Very clean and brand new feeling. Comfortable bed, very quiet overnight. Slept like a log. Went down to breakfast, which is usually disappointing (again, cheap unhealthy ingredients), but this was shockingly good. Lo fat Greek yoghurt, fresh berry compote, muesli. Blueberry muffins, fresh bananas etc. We often stay in Travelodge and Premier Inn but this was the best one we’ve stayed at for a long while - based on the comfort, the room, the staff and the breakfast. Excellent!
