5th Street Inn

This was a real treat. The room was huge and loaded with amenities. The girl who checked us in was absolutely wonderful. The balcony was private and enormous. The town was fun and super cool. We've been coming up to Yosemite for years and always stayed in Oakhurst. This is a million time better.

We began enjoying our stay at the 5th Street Inn even before we arrived--Randy provided excellent service when I asked if we could extend our visit on short notice. Contactless check-in went smoothly and we arrived to find a very clean, nicely decorated room. We stayed in "The Retreat" room. All the amenities and more were there including lots of extra towels and soaps for our extended stay of 4 nights. It's walking distance from restaurants and shops in town and a little over an hour from Yosemite. The inn was a very convenient place to stay to avoid paying in-park lodging prices. Only one small issue was that noise can be a problem if neighboring rooms aren't respectful. The inn is in an old house so it's not well soundproofed. Not the fault of the guest house, of course. Definitely worth what we paid and more. 5 stars!

A great location close to shops and restaurants. It was an excellent base for us to explore Yosemite. It was a massive clean practical room that suited our family but it is in much need of a renovation. Unfortunately it is feeling a little tired.

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit Yosemite and loved everything about Fifth Street Inn! Check-in was easy, friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfy, and the inn itself is so pretty. It took about 45 mins to reach the Arch Rock entrance for Yosemite and the drive along the way had amazing scenery, including deers and coyotes early in the morning! The town itself is beautiful and has a classic American “small town” feel, which we wanted to experience being from the UK. We walked down the Main Street to browse the shops and also walked up side streets to see the historic court house, which was worth a visit. We ate at Castillo’s Mexican restaurant right opposite the Inn, the Pizza Factory down the street, and Miner’s Roadhouse further down the Main Street - all of them were really good. We’d definitely come back!

The place to be if you need a good nights rest before heading into Yosemite to camp! A group of friends and I did just that this last week before heading into the NP and we could not be more happy with our stay - first the staff - now a days it’s hard to find good workers who will provide great service with a smile and the team at 5th did exactly that- from a pre arrival phone call where the person was so kind - to checking in. Also my wife left her kindle and after our 3 days in the NP the hotel was able to get it back to us! The person even called everyone who worked the day we check out to make sure we could get it back 10/10 customer service. The room it’s self was very clean and just a great design and size for our big group - everyone was able to sleep nicely and the sheets and towels were very nice quality. You know big hotels are starting to get way too expensive , they are not as Fridley anymore and honestly not worth the money - but the 5th street inn was a breath of fresh air. We will always stay here when we can when coming up to Yosemite and I highly recommend you to do the same - thank you 5th street in for a great stay!!

We had a quiet suite at the back of the Inn downstairs. It had plenty of room, a king size four poster bed with Ansel Adams framed photos to inspire us for our three day trip to Yosemite. There was a double sink (his and hers) a fridge, microwave and a table to have our breakfast at. We were just a few feet down the block from the quaint downtown shops and restaurants we enjoyed in the evenings. The staff was very helpful and could answer any questions about places to eat, etc. We also had a pleasant experience booking. We also just liked Mariposa a lot, especially the Ramen place, Fredericks of Savourys and the fun Pony Espresso Coffee House.
