Margate

We often come here and was looking forward to seeing the revamp . The Self Check-In is in the new bar area and if it doesn’t work you have to wait at the bar to check in between the tables , chairs and guests with your cases and family , so avoid arriving at meal times and evenings when the bar is busy. The new re vamp has made it look really lovely but it is no longer wheelchair or child friendly. There is very little space for wheelchair users to independently move around the restaurant nor get anything themselves for breakfast , as everything is so high up ! The old restaurant catered for everyone and sadly the new one doesn’t. The forks bend as you use them, the food quality was budget and took far too long to arrive at the table and then needed to be sent back as the eggs were like rubber. The drinks at the bar are astronomical ! 330ml of zero Coca Cola ( a can size ) over £3.00 ! Rooms are still the same but wasn’t pleased that for the whole of our stay the dirty laundry was left right by the lifts all day and night . Check-In awful and it’s far better to walk down the road to restaurants and bars that are more affordable and child and disabled friendly.

This hotel is perfectly located in Margate for Train and the main beach area users. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had early check in and a Prem Plus room, all decent fittings with very good aircon, bed bathroom. The room cost, booked about 3 weeks in advance was very good, much better than the other hotel options in Margate. Mild gripe - the smell of fags in the corridors. Suggested improvements - plant some more trees and look after the ones already planted.

A really good location ample parking & very close to the station. The down side was there was no fridge in the room. Breakfast was ok

Hotel needs replacing rooms tired no organisation at check in. Very poor breakfast, very old & dowdy. Staff very unfriendly.

2nd visit to see friends locally did t live up to expectations. Check in took 1/2 hr due to machines not working and var mid trying to do bar service and check in a queue of people. We paid extra for a sea view which was excellent last time this time the window and the surroundings were filthy we could not see out and also afraid of getting dirty. Upon showering we only had 1 Towell the hair dryer gav of smoke. Both reported 7pm ish returned at 11pm and not sorted. Husband went to reception and returned with a young man who was unable to fix but did offer a replacement in morning and gave us a Towell. Will look elsewhere when we next visit the area.

The staff were amazing. So helpful and friendly. There was a lady with a clipboard who helped us to our room, but I didn't get her name. Freddie behind the bar was lovely and so helpful and friendly as was the cleaner on our way out. Highly recommend this Premier Inn and we will be back for another stay.
