Spirit of the Masai Mara

We have been on many holidays in the Mara area and we can honestly say this was one of our favourite holidays. The Spirit of the Masai Mara was magical. The Spirit team were so friendly and professional, there was nothing they would not do for you and you can tell they are very passionate and enjoyed their jobs and are cared for by management. The room is beautifully decorated and had a wonderful sitting room. The standalone bathtub with an incredible view of the hills was a lovely touch. The cottage was spotless and had a mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The bathrobes were so soft and luxurious. The bedding was clean and of a high quality. There were eco-friendly local toiletries available and a hair dryer. The main lounge area, dining room and bar was fabulous. Plenty of seating areas to relax and wind down after a game drive. The bar was well stocked and plenty of variety of drinks available at reasonable prices. There are plenty of games, books and children's toys to keep little ones occupied and older children too! The food was sensational with many of the dishes inspired by the food grown in the Spirit garden. The chef was amazing and so talented. There was also a children's menu which was great for my older teenager who is a little fussy. There was a zip line for the children, archery and plenty of opportunities to learn some skills from the Masai like hut building, and many more activities. The swimming pool was so clean and set into the hill with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The safari guides were highly trained and skilled experts in looking for animals, birdlife and the local flora and fauna. They had ponchos for the cold mornings which were so cosy and kept us very warm. The game drives were interesting and the guides worked very hard to make sure we saw plenty of wildlife. You can also under the guidance of the safari guides have a go at driving the safari vehicle. Overall, everything was catered for and so well thought of for every guest. It was luxury, but with a wonderful community feel you don't experience at other lodges. Our family have left with special memories and we will definitely visit again. Spirit of the Masai Mara is not just a lodge but an experience! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we can’t wait to be back next year. Their activities are beyond what any lodge offers; golf, behind the wheel experience, epic sundowners, walking in the conservancy and so much more. They have board and card games at the lodge including a small library with views. One of the best things for me in the lodge is the bathtub that overlooks the conservancy - imagine watching giraffes as you take a bath and sip on some bubbly The staff are helpful, funny, make some bomb cocktails and coffee! Have no second thoughts and book with Spirit of the Masai Mara - you will not regret it!

5-Star Review for Maasai Mara Stay I recently visited The SPIRIT of Mara in my Maasai Mara Adventure, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! The accommodations were outstanding—clean, spacious rooms with breathtaking views of rolling hills, elephants, and zebras right from our glass doors. The food was excellent, offering a variety of delicious options, and the staff and managers were incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality made the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for an amazing safari getaway, this is the perfect spot. Looking forward to returning soon! Did I mention we did Golf, and test drove their Tour Van....

It's a very peaceful and quiet environment. You get to relax and just enjoy the silence from the World . The rooms are really big and cozy. And the views from the room are amazing. The Infinity Swimming pool helps you just chill and enjoy the views too. The Chef, omg, he puts love into the cooking so the food is really really amazing. Nothing slaps like a good Meal right? Also, I got to drive the Safari Car. How cool is that? Service is amazing, everyone was very courteous and very helpful. The Director and the Manager ensured we were well taken care of. The Sundowner remains my favorite, you get to wst the Sunset, as you sip something with Maasais singing and dancing. I had the time of my life.

From the pickup at the airstrip to the welcome at the Resort was awesome. The people made me feel at home, I almost thought I had known them for ages, silly me, smiles. The view from the room was breathtaking. The room and environment itself was clean, in fact too clean for my liken, lol. In all, it was an incredible experience made possible by the staff of the resort. I will be going back there soon and would recommend the place to anyone who wants to visit Masai.
