Mara Bush Camp

Our stay at the mara bush camp was amazing. The luxury tents and their verandahs were very well kept and made us feel safe. The food was also very good. Highly recommended! Everyone doing their best to give us the best experience ever. Very good management.

This was the only place we booked on our safari that wasn't a lodge, so we didn't know what to expect - but we're so unbelievably happy we stayed here! From the moment we arrived, Nelson and his staff made us feel at home, and everything about our time there was amazing. The location inside the park puts you moments from animals when you leave on game drives. The tents feel both luxurious and adventurous, and they come with full working bathrooms inside. You really can hear hippos grunting and moving in the distance at night (which is fascinating), but it always feels very safe with guards on patrol. The food was delicious, the drink menu was very sizable, and the early morning wake-up visits with coffee right on the patio were the best way to start the day. We especially loved just talking to the staff at the camp. On Christmas Eve, after being surprised with a magical sundown barbecue combining all three Soroi camps for the holiday, the two of us sat around the campfire swapping stories with Nelson and his associate Adam for almost two hours. Next to the tree, it really did feel like Christmas, and it was such a wonderful start to our trip that we'll never forget. For the game drives, our guide Dan had grown up in a local Masai village and was a master at finding cool things before the other guide cars. This led to some unbelievable moments (especially with baby lions) and the best photos we've ever taken. We highly recommend getting breakfast to go in the morning and eating it out under an acacia tree. We thought this would just be a one-time trip, but now we can't wait to come back! A special thank to Joseph and the team for welcoming us so warmly, always caring about our stay to make sure our stay would be memorable even though we had a difficult experience before arriving to the camp. This is by far our best experience of a hotel that is much more than a hotel. I was sick the day I left and their doctor came on site to provide me with the right medecine. They have been extremely accommodating and their smile is a life testimonial of their kindness. The food is good and they always try to make it experiential and memorable. Their Hippo pool is amazing, and our tent was very well located in front of the river where hippo family enjoyed their time together... Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and recommend anyone interested in living a memorable safari experience in a bush camp. One plus: it is close to the airport landfield where you can flight straight from and to Nairobi. Very convenient.

A wonderful company that gave me a terrific experience exploring the Maasai Mara in Kenya. A woman alone, I signed up for just 2 nights with them, which is all I could afford. We were out looking at wonderful animals and beautiful plains almost every minute of the day - started at dark, ended at dark. It was just me and my own driver. I had been upgraded to the company's new Luxury Migration Camp, apparently because they didn't have enough reservations to make it worth running the regular Mara Bush Camp (this was mid- June, 2023; beforethe big wildebeest migration) and that may be why I got my own guide. Very well-informed and flexible guide. So if you can afford it, I recommend that. Beautiful place, accommodations and food, incredibly nice and thoughtful Camp manager and staff. A pleasure all the way around. I did "game drives" with my guide, and a visit to a nearby Maasai village, and a "Safari walk" with a naturalist and an armed ranger, starting at dawn. It was great. I can't recommend Mara Bush Camp enough. If you're thinking of going to Maasai Mara on a visit to East Africa, don't hesitate, and book this company. The experience of a lifetime.

The staff of the Mara camp is extremely friendly and flexible! The meals are delicious! Flora and fauna around the camp are impressive! We traveled with 10 children and 11 adults! We couldn’t have chosen a better camp! We thank Nelson and his team for their hospitality!
