The Inn at Manzanita

Explorer Room- upon entry it looked ok-Staff was friendly Here we go-1 of the 2 facing ocean "view" windows was full of condensation, so no view through it. Leaking shower head that sounded like a creek at times, which echoed through out the small, high vaulted ceiling room. The shower curtain was 2" too short, so the bathroom floor is wet constantly. It splashed far beyond the bath mat. Visible dust and cobwebs. Small TV plus DVD player, only local channels available, which explained the seriously out dated DVD collection in the foyer as you walk in. Worn out remotes, no reaction to buttons for volume. Visible soap/scum line around the lower portion of the "romantic" jetted tub. Ditches on either side of the bed with an island of non-compressed mattress in the center(visible through comforter). Sugar ants and Silverfish bugs in counter and in jetted tub. We asked the guy working for Terro traps or anything he would have for bugs. His reply was we have an extermination service. Well, it isn't working because there are Sugar ants and Silverfish on the counter and actively moving around in tub. 2 stars given is because the location is primo.

We wanted to like it but service is non existent. First room we stayed in was great clean and everything worked. The second room had sand in the floor and the hairdryer was broken. There is no one on site except for one hour a day and no one to call. The emergency number went straight to voicemail that had “not been set up yet.” The rooms have a 1970’s beachy hippy vibe which could work but not without any service or support if anything goes wrong. Stay Clear if this place.

Yes...we had a home in Manzanita for 26 years. Sold in 2021. As a tourist we found the town to be as we remembered....too busy and understaffed. The Inn was ok. Our room was quiet. Bed and sleeper were comfortable. Overall the place is showing it's age, life for a wood structure on the coast is hard. Back to town, most restaurants don't open til 4.Good luck finding lunch. And they are jammed at dinner. The staff at the Inn were great. Offered info, but we knew the area. You likely won't get a view, but if you need an ocean fix this is good. Just a short walk to the beach

Loved loved our special week at the penthouse at the Inn at Manzanita. Very kind staff. Clean rooms, very close to beach. Will definitely come back. Manzanita is a gem to visit! Lovely town that had lots to do!

This was our second time staying at the Inn at Manzanita and it was pretty much as we remembered--nice and cozy, relaxed vibe; a little quirky. We stayed in the Carmel Room. Pros: Close to the beach (not even 2 blocks). Large, clean room, nice and bright, lots of windows, ceiling fan. Very comfortable mattress and plenty of pillows which is a big plus. Jacuzzi tub which is not my thing but lots of towels provided and two fluffy robes. Close to several restaurants/bars and very good coffee shop across the street. Bikes with helmets available to use. Lots of hiking and surfing spots nearby. Cons: The Inn is located on the main street, and while it is a small town you do get the road noise of trucks and constructions vehicles, etc. There is also a Mexican restaurant across the street which plays music all day, until about 9:30pm when we were there. At first kinda fun, but got old after a while. I think if you stayed in a room away from the street you would get less of this noise, if that's something that would bother you. Other small issues were not being able to use the DVD player (yes we consulted the instructions), odd tasting water (not unsafe/bad, just funky), and spotty internet--fine for a quick web search or looking at Instagram, but streaming or video calls might be tough. All in all a good value and would stay there again, but probably a different room and would download a movie ahead of time.

Town was crowded and I would have liked to have found a more upscale place to stay. Inn at Manzanita was pretty worn down and the walls were thin so getting a good night sleep was impossible. The price of room did not match what I was expecting. Would have been very happy to pay had it been more updated. Wi-Fi worked very poorly and having 3 Television Remotes could have used an upgrade to a universal remote. Next time I might remain in Cannon Beach which is too bad because Manzanita is an amazing little place. Also, i had to park on the street instead of the hotel parking because multiple cars expanded across more than one space.

This Inn is in a great location, really just steps from the beach and across the street from a few restaurants. We stayed in the Cottage room, a one bedroom suite on the second floor. The inn consists of several different small buildings with varying sizes and types of spaces. I was able to park right by the entrance. In person check in is a small window of time, but there is easy after hours check in. The suite itself was not fancy but still nice. Ours had a full kitchen, which made it easy to store and cook extra food. We also enjoyed the jetted tub. One of the days we stayed was extremely hot, and even though the temps went down in the evening, the heat remained on the second floor even with the windows open. I understand there may not be enough need for air conditioning, but it would have been nice to have a fan available. All in all, the price was pretty reasonable for the space and the location, but during the right kind of weather.
