Peaceful retreat The private setting was idyllic for this 18th century farm house. The rolling hills, woodlands, and landscaping, plus the yellow cow who kept watch over us, made for a fairytale weekend. The house was beautifully restored, with amenities added that did not detract from the historical appeal. Edwina had everything that we needed to make our stay lovely, right down to a plate of delicious homemade cookies on our arrival. I hope to come back and stay here in the future, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique place to vacation.

Over and above Old meets new. All the convenience of the present with all the old charm of a country home in the 1800’s. Spotless, provided everything you could need. Beds are very comfortable!! The leaves were still changing so that was an extra blessing. We will definitely be back!!!

The house in the dell Pictures do not do it justice. This has been our best stay ever in the many years we have been doing VRBO. The love and attention that was put into our stay was a warm welcome. Don and Edwina thought of everything.

Charming and comfortable in a beautiful setting A beautifully restored historic home that has all the practical and homey touches to make it comfortable and convenient. We enjoyed a four night stay and it was a great base from which to visit neighbouring communities. It is off the beaten track (but easy to find) and we enjoyed driving on the well maintained, winding roads through picturesque countryside. It was also a peaceful spot to return to and just hang out on the back deck, reading and listening to the birds. We were just two and it was spacious and comfortable - but certainly lots of space for a bigger group. Host was easy to contact / accessible, but there was nothing that needed attention during our stay. Highly recommended.

Great back deck to enjoy the peace, quiet, & beautiful surroundings. Great communication with the owner. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting that part of the country!
