We stayed at Lunetta for a whole week and used it as our starting point to explore central and South Sardegna. Although there is not much to do in Mandas itself from a touristic perspective, the broader surroundings surely compensate for that. In that sense Lunetta is indeed an excellent base for a longer term visit. Barbara is extremely forthcoming with inside advice and assistance in making the necessary reservations. Together with husband Gian Luca and brother Agostino she does her outmost best to make the stay and vacation as memorable as possible. The place itself is like an oasis in the middle of the village. We stayed in the groundfloor suite with our own little terras in the beautiful internal patio garden. Breakfasts were very original in composition and professionally served in the impeccable breakfast room. All in all, we could not have landed better for our first exploratory visit of this wonderfull island.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. Our hosts, Barbara and her brother Agostino were so welcoming and helpful! Our room was large and the bed very comfortable while it was a little cool at night the heating worked very well in the room. The bathroom was also lg with tub and shower with plenty of hot water. We also had a small private deck outside our door in their courtyard with two chairs which we enjoyed a lot. Mandes is a cute small city and easy to walk around. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of delicious things to eat. Barbara and her brother had several good recommendations on where to eat in Mandes. My husband and I both highly recommend Antica Locanda Lunetta for your stay in central Sardinia!

From the moment we arrived Barbara and Agostino couldn’t have been more helpful. After a long journey from Olbia a refreshing drink as we booked in. The room was immaculate. Agostino sorted all our dinner bookings with great suggestions - a walk to an agriturismo, round the corner for fish, and sunset in the olive groves. We loved the honesty bar and the wine list is superb - sitting in the garden courtyard with a very reasonably priced glass of vermentino in the late evening takes some beating. We had no difficulty parking just round the corner.

On our road trip in Sardegna we decided to take a detour from our journey and enjoy some rest at this beautiful place. And it was the best thing we did! The location was very easy to find but situated in a quite narrow road. Yet the only inconvenience is that there are no parking spaces available. For the check in we were able to park infront of the entrance door. But we had to look for a parking space in the small town of Mandas. We found one that was 2 minutes walking distance from the location which was fine. During our stay, we had wonderful and unique experience that we will never forget. Simply beautiful and unique. Thank you Barbara and Gian Luca for the warm welcome for the attention you give to every tiny and particular thing. Especially for the enjoyable breakfast. The smell of fresh croissants woke us up and was irresistible. The breakfast tables were so lovely decorated and the home made specialities were simply delicious! Thank you Barbara! We will defintely come back.

What a great little B&B! Super friendly staff who clearly enjoy helping all their guests. All rooms and general areas very clean and tidy. A lovely variety for breakfast too. Happy to recommend ideas for visits in and around the area too. Very happy to give five stars and recommend to one & all.

This old Locanda is very high standing and charming hotel. It is hard to call it just a simple B/B. You can feel a very old style atmosphere and you are deserved by very professional staff. This Locanda has been recently renovated by giving high attention to the small details to allow you falling into XVIII century farm’s atmosphere. Fabio Marini

Die Ruhe auf dem Land, in einem kleinen Kaff mitten in Sardinien. Sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, voller intressanter Details, schöne alte Möbel in tiptopem Zustand. Aufmerksamer, sympathischer Service. Rundum zu empfehlen.

Unterkunft 1:1 wie auf den Fotos. Einrichtung mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Unterkunft ist sehr heimelig eingerichtet & man fühlt sich wie Zuhause. Es ist alles sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist eher klein (völlig verständlich bei insgesamt „nur“ 5 Zimmern) - aber sehr lecker & ausgewogen und es hat für jeden etwas dabei. Agostino ist ein sehr sympathischer und aufgestellter Gastgeber. Er nimmt sich Zeit wenn man Fragen oder ein Anliegen hat. Er spricht Italienisch und Englisch. Uns wurde die Osteria „La Forchetta“ im gleichen Dorf in wenigen Gehminuten empfohlen & es war sehr lecker! Vielen Dank, gerne wieder!

Wij maken een roadtrip door Sardinië, deels met ons campertje en deels in toffe locaties die Eva Sardinia ons heeft geadviseerd. We werden ontvangen laat in de avond omdat we nog het een en ander op ons programma hadden staan. Wat volgde was een uitgebreide rondleiding door het stadje en de verschillende verblijven; appartementen en bed & breakfast. Hier bij Barbara en Gian Luca in hun fantastische verblijf is het goed toeven. Een echte unieke traditionele plek voorzien met alle gemakken van nu. Prachtig! Het is ook nog eens erg gezellig met deze enthousiaste gastdame en gastheer met wie we honderduit gezellig kunnen praten. Mensen-mensen. Een aanrader, zowel het plaatsje Mandos, als de locatie Antica Locanda Lunette als uiteraard de mensen. Die maken natuurlijk het verblijf tot een unieke beleving. Met aperitiefjes in de kruidige bloemrijke binnentuin en kennis over wat er allemaal tof is om te doen in de omgeving. Een aanrader dus!
