The Inn at Manchester

Our visit to the Inn couldn’t have been better. We loved the Wintergreen suite - extremely comfortable beds, luxurious linens, beautiful sitting area with fireplace, spacious bathroom. The Inn is wonderfully landscaped, the pool is welcoming, the various gathering areas are cozy and inviting. Our breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented, and we enjoyed having a glass of wine in the tavern in the evening. Innkeeper Gaby and her assistant Todd have spoiled us for any other lodging. Gaby was a delight - clearly she was busy but always took the time to chat. She had good recommendations for touring, dining, and retail therapy! Todd was convivial and truly interested in getting to know us. I’m looking forward to our next visit!

We really loved our stay at The Inn at Manchester! The owners, Brian and Gabriela, the staff, Virgil and Jack - everyone was so nice and friendly and ready to help with anything! We stayed in the Cinnamon room - nice woodsy smell from the paneling, with a vaulted ceiling. The only reason I would choose a different room is to have a king-sized bed. Also be aware that you have to walk up a flight of stairs with your luggage, but we preferred being on the second floor. The room was very clean, neat; the shower in this room might be a tad smaller. Our friends all stayed on the first floor, with a nice common room for socializing. One of their rooms had a small outdoor patio with chairs. The breakfasts were lovely and you could choose a table for two or sit with other guests at a table for 6 (we squeezed 8 into a 6 person table which worked out great). They would offer a special breakfast, like pancakes or jazzed up eggs, or you could order oatmeal, eggs any style, etc. There is a small room with a bar which offered pretty much anything to drink....unfortunately, its a State law that you cannot drink any liquor on the property other than what The Inn sells, so you can't bring in your own wine, etc. Right across the street is a great casual restaurant, Mulligans, which we visited a couple times; and a nicer restaurant next to Mulligan's which we didn't get to. We would definitely recommend The Inn to anyone visiting Manchester (or Dorset)....so much nicer of an experience than staying at a typical hotel :). I felt like I was in The Bob Newhart Show :)

Friendly welcome, chatty, interesting and knowledgeable barman, help with cases to and from second floor, (no lift and stairs quite steep - OK for us). Our room was too small. There are a wide variety of rooms available. Ours was booked by a company who planned a tour for us. It included a bank holiday and so it may well have been all that was available. Worth looking at options if you have the choice. Lovely breakfast which was included. Staff friendly and happy to answer questions about options for what to do in Manchester.

This was the last hotel that we stayed at during our 9 day trip. It was outstanding! We were only here one night but we wished we had stayed longer. The town was so beautiful and the inn was comfortable and the innkeeper welcoming and kind. The beds were very comfortable - not too soft and not too firm. If we are ever in the area again - this is the ONLY place we would stay!

This Inn is so special because of the incredible hospitality by the owner Brian and the pristine accommodations! Cozy rooms, fireplaces in main sitting areas all added to our phenomenal stay. The breakfast was delicious. We will be back and highly recommend!

Once again, the Inn at Manchester proved to be the absolute best place to stay for the perfect Vermont getaway. So comfortable and welcoming, it delivers on anything you could hope for. Many thanks to Brian, Gaby and the team. And we'd like to especially thank them for arranging to have ALL of the fall leaves turn color on the EXACT day we arrived! They probably won't take credit for it, but knowing their commitment to a great guest experience, they probably a pulled few strings with the people upstairs...

As always we had a wonderful stay at the inn at Manchester Brian and Gaby are warm, welcoming and so accommodating. The rooms are so homey and comfortable. We sat outside by the fire pit and relaxed overlooking the colorful foliage. Thank you again for the memories. We can’t wait to return

Nice inn in a great location. Close to numerous attractions. Inn owner was super nice. Comfortable bed. Quite. Had the Sunflower (?) room on the second floor in the back. Reasonable price for the location. Breakfast was good. Had no issues at all while we were there.

This is our 5th visit and we could not imagine staying at another property in the Manchester area. A stay with the folks at The Inn at Manchester is analogous to a visit with dear friends. Brian ,Gabbie, Vergil, John and Todd are consummate professionals - and just plain NICE. We have stayed in all manner of rooms and suites during the fall, winter and summer seasons and feel there is not a sub-perfect choice to be made as to the season or accommodation when visiting. The location is superb as is the home cooked breakfast each morning. We look forward to our next trip back the minute we leave the driveway.
