Arcanus Hotels Sorgun - Ultra All Inclusive

We were greeted on arrival We were greeted on arrival, check in was very quick and we were taken to our room, the luggage followed. A very pleasant room with pool view and the sea. The room was spotless nice bathroom with walk in shower, toiletries available, personally I prefer my own. Plenty of coat hangers and drawer space, our bed was very comfortable, pillows not bad although they got hot. Tea coffee facilities a small filled fridge with water beer orange drink which was filled daily, also a large bottle of water. Air conditioning in the room but we didn’t use it, we left our balcony door slightly open at night, no mosquitoes. Small table and chairs and an ash tray to use if you smoke. There was a small line for your swimming gear. The room was cleaned daily, towels changed regularly and bedding changed every other day. Buffet breakfast, something for everyone, you couldn’t possibly go hungry, lunch more than enough choice, and the evening buffet once again you wouldn’t go hungry, when we were there from 5th November-15th November all was pretty calm I’d imagine it would be heaving throughout the summer months and extremely hot! Also lots of children. Entertainment in the evening if you want it, otherwise plenty of bars. Lots of sun loungers whilst we were there. Cafe next to the beach. Towels free. Outdoor pool was exceptionally clean but freezing cold . Indoor pool heated okay for fit people. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to use as there was no easy way for me to enter the pool, very close parallel steps (I’m slightly disabled and wasn’t able to get in or out of the poo!) They do have a mobile hoist but no one knew how to use it properly hence it was dangerous, this needs to be addressed asap otherwise an accident could occur, I might add I was very sad that I wasn’t able to swim as I was so looking forward to it. The reception staff very helpful and friendly, nothing was to much trouble. Oscar was an excellent front of house and he booked the A La Carte restaurants, we had the Mexican but our favourite was the Italian restaurant, it was fabulous, beautiful decor and the food was great. Now the backbone of keeping the hotel and gardens tidy and spotlessly clean were the cleaners gardeners and the room cleaners they deserve to be well rewarded, everyone connected to the hotel were amazing. Like all reviews, you have to put it into context, how much you paid, who you travelled with and to a point, the time of year. We booked through Jet 2. Value for money has quite simply been outstanding! Staff and management, polite, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Cleanliness, excellent, with beds and towels changed daily. We booked all inclusive and on the whole the food in the main restaurant was good. The 5 la carte restuarants were extra but worth every penny. Drinks were included with many main brands. Cocktails also included. Efes is the main beer served, the same in many turkish restaurants back in England. No problem with sunbeds this time of year and the hotel also enjoys a beach front with pier, where you can sit and watch the sun go down. A lovely setting and very relaxing with soft music played. No headbanging music! One thing that was noticeable was the distinct lack of those British tourists who are on a mission to down 10 pints a day to get their monies worth, while their kids run wild - a real plus! Side and Manavgat are only a short bus ride away with excellent markets at both places.

We have just returned from a week at the hotel. Overall, this is a lovely hotel and we did have a great time. However, there were things that let our stay down. I echo the review left by 'Rebecca D' regarding service. We did not experience the fantastic service that has been commented on in previous reviews. Maybe it is at the end of a long hard season and enthusiasm is at a low, but I experienced being ignored on 2 occasions and even abrubtness bordering on rudeness when requesting a drink on multiple occasions by 1 member of staff. Although all staff are run off their feet and clearly work extremely hard, we just didn't get a warm feeling in general, also echoed by other families we spoke to. This was disappointing as the previous comments on great service did influence our booking decision. The other main disappointment was the sheer amount of plastic this hotel uses! Plastic straws, cotton buds, water bottles, the list goes on. It actually made us uncomfortable! The other negative was with the bathroom in our room with the grouting, and in particular, the mould around 'the window' in the shower. Extremely poor for a "5 star" hotel. However, despite this overall, it is a lovely hotel. My 5 year old loved it, so great for families. There are lots of positives about the hotel but it certainly wasn't 5 star. There is a good atmosphere, albeit the pools were freezing! The landscaping is beautiful, gorgeous beach and clear sea with a fab sunbathing pier. My daughter loved the kids club. Entertainment was a bit hit and miss. Food of a good standard you would expect, although may not be for everyone. Desserts, gorgeous! Cats everywhere to fuss, well looked after. Lots of waterspouts and trips about. Bed was very comfy and room clean. All in all, we would recommend this hotel, but we would look to go to a different hotel when we return to Turkey.

We've just got back from our 10day holiday in arcanus. The hotel is brilliant, very well run and staff work very hard to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The view from the hotel grounds over the sea is beautiful and the pier makes a lovely setting to chill with a drink or swim in the sea. Enes the barman at the pier bar is the best, very friendly and makes you feel like family. I certainly didn't have any dental work planned but somehow managed to lose my dentures. I embarrassingly asked the reception incase someone had handed my dentures in. The guest relations team couldn't of been more helpful. First Oscar who couldn't do enough for us throughout our stay and always checking we were having a great holiday. And secondly Abdulkadir guest relations manager recommended a nearby dentist who picked me up and dropped off on all visits. The dentist sorted me out with a bridge instead of dentures at a good price and very efficient. If you're thinking of getting dental work definitely go and ask the team for recommendation you will not be disappointed. So a great stay we had, the pool is clean, the toilets always spotless, the food is brilliant, the bars all good and the sea beautiful. We will be back for sure.

We have just finished our week long stay at the Arcanus Sorgun resort, we have had an amazing time. The hotel is beautiful and very clean, has all the facilities you could ask for and the staff are excellent. The room was spacious and well equipped, has a mini fridge (restocked daily), safe,toiletries, gowns, slippers and beach towels are available. We had a standard double with beach view. The hotel grounds are beautiful and with a large main pool, kids pool, indoor pool, splash park, water slides and private beach there is plenty to do. Sun-beds cannot be reserved until 8am and we usually went down to pool between 08:30-09:00 and there was always plenty still available, later than this you would struggle in peak season. However there are loads of loungers on the beach and grass area between pool and beach. We treated ourselves to a private beach pavilion with waiter service on one of the days which you can rent from guest services. This was one of the highlights of the holiday. The kids club, activities and entertainment were also very good, there was always something going on to keep children of all ages entertained. Pool activities also take place each day, including Water Polo and exercises. The food was great, the main restaurant had your standard all inclusive buffet, with fresh cooked meats, salad, desserts and fruit. Each evening there was also a different themed night. The hotel has 5 a la carte restaurants, these can be booked one per stay at guest relations. We went to the Mexican and the Asian. Both were excellent, the Mexican especially was absolutely fantastic. There is also a beach and pool bar which are great for lunch the food here was great so we regularly used these for lunch. There is also a passion bar which serves milkshakes and frozen drinks, this was perfect and not something I’ve experienced at any previous all inclusive. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, polite and efficient. Most spoke very good English and didn’t have any issues. The general manager especially was frequently around and making sure everything was okay and that you didn’t have any issues. On one of the days we took a 10min taxi ride into Side (the closest town) it was really lovely mix of culture and shops selling ‘genuine fakes’. There is a nice harbour with restaurants and cafes, a great place to spend a few hours. Overall I cannot recommend this resort enough, for a relaxing week in beautiful surroundings and fantastic weather. We will definitely be returning in the future.
