Swimmingpool is nice. Air quality in the room is to dry. Aircon have to pay separat. Bed is Comfortable.

We have just enjoyed an 11 night stay at the Maria Rousse and it was just what the doctor ordered . The complex was so clean and well kept. The room was basic but very comfortable and clean. Pool was excellent and all the staff are super friendly. Hired a car for 7 days and driving in Crete carrys no drama at all. Some nice beeches and the best one was arena beech lovely wide open space and sun beds only 4 euros each. The water nice and shallow and no rocks. You can order food from the comfort of your sunbed..lush. The fish will even give you a nice pedicure for free. The doughnut man at potamus beach..hilarious. what a performance he could sell you sand he was that good. Most chilled I've ever been on holiday

The bed .. and pillows .. the best I've slept on (away from home) The setting .. it is down a very narrow street so I suggest a private transfer as the larger coaches etc drop you off about 100 meters away Everything within walking distance .. Cleanliness .. immaculate .. everywhere Hosts and staff .. perfect .. lovely family atmosphere Don't go here if you are expecting all night parties and entertainment .. strict "quiet rule" after 11pm Can still be noise tho from people at the bar which has pool table and 2 tvs Food and drink all reasonably priced and well cooked. Safety .. most of us had our doors open 24/7 .. security patrolled at night with most entrances closed and locked. My friend left some electrical devices out on the table on our patio .. that were still there in the morning Rooms cleaned bi-daily On top extras .. local tax .. payable in cash On top extras .. safety deposit box and air conditioning We found shower was too small for us and if we bent over our bums kept turning it off 😂😂😂 Personally I would have liked a few more drawers in the room Room and patio area a nice size We were self catering .. 2 ring stove .. kettle & toaster provided .. but only 1 plug .. kitchen area really tiny They do bed and breakfast & 1/2 board Buffet breakfast served in an enclosed restaurant .. evening meal you chose 3 courses off the special 1/2 board menu in the outside restaurant .. personally I think a breakfast choice menu would also be a good idea instead of the buffet style We were by the main pool area .. there is a second pool with rooms around it .. plus some more apartments across the road Nice touch .. book shelves to swop books and corner to leave part used sun tan lotion as well as all the pool floats etc that people left .. we will be returning

My partner and I stayed here for 10 nights in September 2022. We enjoyed it so much we came back for 14 nights in September 2024. The staff at the Maria Rousse are friendly and the hotel was immaculate. We used the bottom pool this time which was brilliant and special thanks to Aris, who was the perfect host, always smiling and happy. Sunbeds were great and always readily available. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the top of the ***** but is far enough away to still be very quiet and relaxing.

Amazing hotel 5 min walk from the Malia *****, not too close that you can hear the noise though. Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Security throughout the night to keep safe and noise down. Clean and spacious rooms. A mix of family, couples, lads/girls holidays. Would definitely return and recommend!

The pool area is great and the bar. However if you get shafted with dodgy air con god help you cause only 1 out of our 3 rooms had decent air con which costs 56 euro, for one room with aircon, safe and the tax it was around 87 euro, for the love of god don’t lose your safe key or that will be another 50 euros which you won’t get back when you actually do find the key, Tony and his torch are on a madness between the quiet time of 11-7am you will get flashed by the torch if your on the balcony and shouted at. The shower genuinely is mad you have to hook it on the wall so be prepared to break your back if you want to wash your hair. Beds are pretty decent but you only get one room key and the air con doesn’t work if you have any balcony doors open to be prepared to start doing parkour over your mates balcony to keep the room cool, hotels well close to the ***** tho also no drunk swims after a night out cause the pool shuts from like 9-9am

They make you pay 58 euros for AIR CONDITIONING, in a hot country which should be a primary need provided to the customers. Unbelievable. Also you have to pay 10 euros to use the safe by the way. You have to pay 50 euros for a late check out and they don’t even provide a secure luggage in a locked place. Other things: shower holder on the wall broken, we had to hold the head of the shower manually. Also no shower curtain (why?) Breakfast very average, always the same products and looking bought from the shop around the corner. Positive note: The staff very kind, welcoming and available for everything.

Lovely hotel, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean! We were staying in room 515, across from the bottom pool. It was a lovely surprise to find out we had two rooms a kitchenette and a large balcony! The hotel has security at night and noise is kept to a minimum. We slept really well and found the beds very comfy. We decided to go half board, which was super. Breakfast is from 7-10 pm, it is self service. Food is fresh and delicious. We had fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt most mornings. You will find a selection of pastries, bread, cereals, cheeses, salad items and bacon, eggs and sausages. Evening meal was in the top bar from 7-10pm. Menu had a good selection of food. 4 courses. My sons (16 & 11) loved eating in the bar so they could watch the football. Drinks are reasonably priced. Staff are helpful, pleasant and happy to help!

I went very beginning of the Season,It was the also the greeks Easter celebrations and so fireworks and some fantastic events took place whilst i was there,The Maria Rousse was an amazing place to stay,When i arrived in the early hours was we were all greeted by the Security guard Tony,a big lad but also a very lovely man not a horrible bouncer who welcomed us and showed us to our rooms and gave us some quick local info and also always said hello with a big smile through out my stay,as it was easter we were all given a present of an easter egg and local biscuit and happy easter card which i thought was a nice touch,ive styed on crete now for more than 30 years and many hotels but ive never stayed in a hotel as nice as this one,it was super clean,the staff were just lovely from the cleaners to the owners,big & alittle george was such nice people,they own the hotel,barbarawas so nice and the teddy bears(layla & maria always looked after me in the bar in the day,evenings it was (zena) maria,afternoons in the bar downstairs by the other pool it was Arris with his modern tunes and interesting chats,the hotel has two pools and a childrens one,beautiful landscape gardens and inside the rooms its just wonderful,lovely showers and complimentary soaps and ive never been in a greek hotel that supply toilet rolls through out the holiday but this place does.its such a clean hotel and the food,beers,coffee etc are all very reasonable,the nightlife is literally 5 mins away and also because the hotel is tucked behind the bustle you can come back to a good kip if you want and if you dont you can also go to thier bar,the supermarket is also 5 mins away and as good as any british one you could go to not that im carring about eating anything british when im in greece and talking about food the greek tavernas are amazing,the old town is a romantic place to eat out in and lovely food.all in all you cannot go wrong if you stay in this hotel.its just fantastic and ive read the odd review that wasnt great and cannot see the family run place being how a few say it was for them,they must have done something wrong thats all i can say.Tou do pay for air con and the safe plus a small fee for the new greek taxes but every hotel does that anyway so its no suprise just take extra if you want that added security,personally safe wise i did have one but i left things out and never had any problems,also in may the mozzys arent about if you go early. The cooks are also very good on sit,i had a fantastic holiday and it was because of everyone at this hotel so a big thanks to Ava,Dina,Layla,Dimitria,Maria,Maria teddy bear,Maria zena,Layla Teddybear,Barbara,Arris(george clooney)Little George,Big George,Grandfather George thier dad,and Tony the nightwatchman,plus the young lad who came the day i left.Thankyou All from Chris....Christo.
