Aeolos Beach Resort

I had an amazing time!! Accomodation in a half board resort in the center of Malia is a real value for money deal. Really friendly staff, great facilities, the rooms were clean,nice with great view. The water sports and pools were really fun, the kids had a great time and the beach was also amazing. Kudos to Katerina the receptionist for the useful information regarding Malia !

Overall nice hotel and the beach is very close. There’s things to improve though. It was disappointing to find out that in order to have an air con we had to pay extra €7 per day, also the food was not always fresh, many times it was food from the previous day.

We visited Malia comming from France so we had ten days in Aeolos. We had a very great time in aeolos hotel in Malia. The staff was always available and nice to us. Beach, swimming pool, water sports and the room were on top, we reccomand ! The breakfast and dinner buffet was on top also.

Amazing food and excellent beach ! The stuff was also very friendly! A must visit in Malia ! I recommend also the water sports, especially the sofa and the banana. The waterslides were also extremely fun and entertaining for me and my friends

Great experience with the parasailing, great view from up there and and incredibly friendly staff! We were treated very well and had such a great time, the ride gives you so much adrenaline and you can see a lot from that height. We definitely recommend it!

The hotel is extremely close to the nightlife with lots of clubs and bars within 5 mins walk. For young people this location is absolutely perfect as the walk is so good. For the hotel I would just go for the hotel, not breakfast or dinner. I would go to the hotel as it is extremely clean, on the beach and the pool is lovely. However the food is extremely extremely basic and breakfast isn’t even nice (pancakes were hard and more like a dry cake). The hotel was also a bit of an additional money scheme, you had to PAY for air con and you had to PAY €7 to use the slide. In my opinion that is seriously ridiculous to charge for air con, they should just put whatever the charge is for the week on top of people’s rates, it would cause a lot less unhappy customers and they would still be getting more money for it. The slide fee was just ridiculous they have paid for the slides to be there so why are you charging your guests to pay to go on it, no idea!! There was an independent beach cafe at the end of the hotel which was lovely food and a little shop where you could buy drinks and snacks, the staff in here were also so lovely and helpful. The staff in the hotel inclusive restaurant were not too friendly, often grunting when you go to pay your drink bill. Oh yes at your dinner included package you get charged for drinks!! Honestly just eat out if you stay at this hotel, it’s great for location and cleanliness but food is a miss. Beach is lovely and decorated very nice. The cleaners were so good giving us fresh towels every 2 days and cleaning the room everyday. The set up of the hotel is a little odd, people will walk through the hotel complex to get to the beach so a lot of people and cars are constantly coming through, it did feel a bit like a safety concern but there was no real issues. Originally when I found out our room was on the ground floor right near the communal path with our balcony door as our front door I asked to change to a higher up floor for safety, I was told this would be €30 per person. When your at the pool you will see random people going past to go to the beach, there’s no fence or anything separating them from us round the pool. At night they close a gate with a bit of rope and there was a man who worked there ensuring the gate was shut at around 4am. We asked if we could stay in our room later as our flight was at 11:55 pm and we had to pay 40€ to stay until our coach transfer picked us up at 8:00, this was well worth the money however we were told that if we wanted dinner on our last day we would have to pay for it, I have never had this in any other hotel so that was a bit weird. To pay for dinner is 15€ and basic and you still have to pay for your drinks on top of that so we just went out to one of the restaurants outside of the hotel, paid €14 euros for a huge delicious fresh dinner and drink included, well worth the money to eat out the food in the local restaurants are absolutely amazing. For the money we paid we was happy
