Morning Star Motel

I stayed at the “Maleny View Motel” a few days ago. The location with the commending view was excellent, the owners welcoming, and the room was spotless with everything where it should be. It was a hot nice so was grateful for the Air Con. Parking was near my #9 room. The owners are on site. There is an excellent Thai restaurant 2 minutes walk away that does takeaway or eat in. The only negative is that I wanted to eat in my room and could only buy a beer with dinner if I ate at the restaurant which was full. It’s a legal thing I’m told. I could see all the way to the coast before dusk.

What can be said, the name lives up to it. We stayed for 4 nights and they were great. Situated a little way out of Maleny, but we found that not a problem. Beds very comfortable and the shower fantastic. Hosts very nice and accommodating. 2 restaurants right next door too.

If you're looking for a bed and breakfast, luxury stay - this isn't it. But if you are looking for a budget, clean, comfortable stay - with an AMAZING view (just street view it!) and excellent hospitality, your money will not go astray here. This was a great little spot to stay, we just needed somewhere safe and comfortable and we were more than happy. If anything I would just like to note for families that this is on a busy road and the doors do open onto an unfenced but lovely grassed area.
