Hotel Maximilian

Hotel Maximilian is in a lovely quiet location in Val di Sogno over looking the lake, we are a family of four and had two rooms overlooking the garden and lake. The staff (especially reception) were polite and helpful. The garden areas are very pretty and are well looked after and the rooms were large and very clean. We had breakfast each day which had plenty of choice from omelettes, fruits, pastries and yoghurts plus much more, we were offered tables out on the terrace with beautiful views but chose to sit inside as it wasn’t quite warm enough. The outside pool was down right cold and I did try it once but it took my breath away! I’m sure it’s perfect when it’s really hot though. There is also an inside pool which was bigger than I was expecting and a much easier temperature to be enjoyed! There is also a jacuzzi which we tried out, tucked away at the side of the gardens with lovely views of the lake again. I also tried the spa area and had a massage which was very lovely and something I’ve never done on holiday before. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel which we used to get the tourist bus into Malcesine and also along to Torbole and Riva and a spar shop even closer. The walk into Malcesine was a little longer than the 20 minute walk to at was advertised but a comfortable 30/35 minute walk along the promenade next to the lake, we were offered the hotel bikes to use but decided against these (I haven’t been on a bike for years and am not sure how good my balance is 😂)

My wife and I stayed for 7 nights, after a 4 night visit to the Dolomites. The hotel is beautifully located, with wonderful views of a quiet bay on Lake Garda. We had a nice room, with a balcony, which was comfortable, but we thought that the bed linen and pillows needed to be renewed, as we considered them a little past their time. The room would also have benefitted from one or two paintings or a mirror, as it was a bit bland (there was a large mirror in the bathroom). Dressing gowns, slippers and pool towels were provided in the room. There was only one small bin (in the bathroom), where it would have been nice to have one in the main room as well. I’m not sure whether a kettle is usually provided - we had to ask for one, but it didn’t come with any teabags, coffee or milk - not a great problem, but something we would expect in a 4 star hotel. It would have been useful to have an umbrella on the balcony, as it was too hot to sit there in the afternoon - we noticed that some balcony rooms had umbrellas, but ours didn’t. I suppose we could have asked for one! In the bathroom we felt that the towels were too thin. They were all washed every day, which we believe is unnecessary. Better quality towels, washed less frequently would be much better. We also felt that the toiletries provided were not of a standard we would expect at a 4 star hotel. On a brighter note, the breakfast was lovely, with plenty of room on the terrace, and omelettes cooked to order - a nice touch! Overall, we found the hotel to be very comfortable, in spite of the few minus points noted above. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and a special thank you to Elizabetta, on reception, who was absolutely charming, and could not be more helpful. There is a lovely walk of around 30 minutes, along the lakeside path, to get into the town, but the path is dotted with restaurants, should you not wish to walk that far. Bear in mind that there is a fairly steep walk at the end of the path up to the hotel when going back (probably about 100 - 150 metres or so). Useful for working off the meal!

Auch mündliche Reservierungszusagen müssen eingehalten werden. Im August 2024 haben wir fürs nächste Jahr wieder 3 Wohnungen für 10 Personen vorreserviert und baten um einen Tag Bedenkzeit bis zur Buchung. Am nächsten Tag, als wir buchen wollten, waren die Wohnungen anderweitig vergeben, weil man vergessen hatte, sie zu blocken. Für uns sehr ärgerlich, weil nur in der vorreservierten Woche alle 3 Familien Zeit haben. Wir haben etwas anderes gesucht und gefunden und werden nicht mehr kommen.

Sehr schönes, ruhig gelegenes Hotel, direkt am See, außerhalb von Malcesine. Wir hatten eine schöne, moderne Suite in der Villa Stefania, ca.100m vom Haupthaus. Die Suite war zeitgemäß ausgestattet, mit großer, möblierter Terrasse (inkl. Liegestühlen) und direktem Zugang zum großzügigen Garten, der direkt an den See angrenzt. In der gesamten Anlage kam nie das Gefühl von Enge auf, was speziell am Gardasee sehr angenehm ist. Die Suite hätte, speziell im Schlafbereich, gerne um das Bett noch zusätzlich etwas mehr Platz haben können. Die Mitarbeiter sind durchweg überaus freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten mit Halbpension gebucht und waren sowohl von der Abwechslung, als auch der Qualität jeden Abend mit dem Essen sehr zufrieden. Das Ambiente auf der Terrasse zum See ist einfach herrlich. Zu Fuß sind es nach Malcesine circa 30 Minuten - das Hotel bietet kostenlose Fahrräder an, was wir oft für Ausflüge und kurze Fahrten ins Zentrum genutzt haben. Wir waren mit dem Aufenthalt im Maximilian mehr als zufrieden. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team.

Struttura molto carina in mezzo agli ulivi che sul lago di Garda non è facile eguagliare. Personale disponibile in tutti i reparti.Poscina a sfioro sul lago con vista mozzafiato. Brunch a bordo vasca rapido e di qualità.Da ripetere esperienza full optional con inoltre palestra e piscina interna. Ottimo tutto.

Splendido Hotel,  in Val di Sogno con una vista mozzafiato!!! Gli ambienti sono ben arredati e danno un'impronta raffinata a tutta la struttura, dove i clienti si sentono come a casa, coccolati da uno staff  attento alle più piccole esigenze. Sulla terrazza fronte lago viene servita la colazione abbondante in tutti i reparti,e la cena ..che rispecchia la notevola cura nella preparazione dei piatti che spaziano in una proposta più che ampia. Ulteriore punto di forza è il giardino disseminato di ulivi  all'ombra dei quali trascorrere piacevoli giornate in totale relax immersi nella natura.. tra un bagno in piscina e una rinfrescante nuotata  nelle acque cristalline del lago.  Giardino che può contare sulle continue cure di mani esperte. Cortesia, disponibilità, e professionalità dell'intero staff contribuiscono al soggiorno perfetto!! Lo lascio con un pizzico di nostalgia sperando di poterci tornare presto..
