Beautiful property, excellent service, welcoming and professional staff, good choice for dining with bistro and one-star Michelin. Within easy driving range of key points of interest.

Having stayed in budget hotels in Montelimar on several occasions, with some prett ghastly experiences, for our latest trip, we cast the net a little wider, and came up with Domaine Du Colombier. After a 600+ mile drive from the UK, we were really just looking for somewhere to lay our heads for a few hours, however nothing could have prepared us for such a divine place. We were somewhat concerned when we had to turn off and drive through an industrial area, however the road quickly took us into a quiet backwater with some simply stunning properties. The hotel was simply magnificent. With its history based in the 14th Century, and originally a stopping point for the Camino, it is now a superb blend of ancient and modern. The staff were really attentive, more than helpful, and really welcoming, so first impressions excellent. The room was small, but really functional, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, with the communal areas in the same vein. There are two choices of restaurant, a fine dining experience, and a bright and modern bistro. If the food in the bistro is anything to go by, the fine dining would be off the scale good! Again, the staff were really helpful, very well trained, with the whole experience being wonderful. If I was being really hyper critical, the only downside was a lack of information as to what the breakfast offering was, but such a minor detail, it fades into insignificance with just how good everything else is! We are booked to return in January, really cannot wait!

We stopped over for one night while travelling through France the hotel was nice the restaurant was nice but the security was very poor . You think because you are in very remote location and that you are in a hotel car park with cameras that you and your belongings are safe but don’t be fooled our electric bikes were stolen from the back of our car and so feel that I should warn others of our experience. The staff who were very nice and apologetic called the police who basically said that there was not much they could do and would take a couple of hours to process an insurance certificate if we attend the police station which obviously was a problem as we had the euro tunnel booked and would have probably had to rebook and felt this might be a problem and so now will not even be able to claim on our insurance.

Awesome holiday. The campsite was clean, well organised, great accommodation and entertainment. Facilities superb, pool brilliant and we really enjoyed the restaurant food. Would definitely recommend for families.

Le domaine est fabuleux avec un parc magnifique ., la nuit l entrée est bien éclairée ., tout est soigné et décoré avec goût le personnel est au petit soin .. la restauration est excellente et le PDJ au top .. literie très bonne ., nous avons séjourné 3 nuits et nous sommes venus avec nos 2 chiens qui ont été acceptés partout et avec beaucoup de respect mais quel bonheur je recommande vivement

Tout était parfait.la dame à la réception très efficace et adorable. La chambre et la salle de bains de très bon goût, la prochaine fois je préciserai que je préfère une douche plutôt qu'une baignoire! la machine à café un plus bien apprécié, Le repas au bistrot nous a bien convenu
