I had booked through Agoda and paid the tariff for this hotel for one night on 13th November. When I tried to check in, the hotel management said that AGODA has given confirmation although it was overbooked and refused to give me a room. Neither Agoda not the hotel management was willing to take responsibility for the mess, blaming each other. Irresponsible behaviour from AGODA and the hotel. The hotel orally claimed that they had written to AGODA but refused to share the proof. Agoda claimed that they didn't receive communication from the hotel. Made me run from Pillar to post for the refund. It's a shame that they happily pocket the full tariff when the customer cancels, but take no responsibility when they mess up
