Holiday Inn & Suites Madison West

Noisiest hotel- kids running in hall and in rooms all hours. Impossible to sleep. 11 pm quiet time is a joke. Pool ok but very crowded, bed comfortable, liked having a frig and a microwave in a regular room. And did I mention that it’s NOISY!!!!

I came out there over the weekend to celebrate my son's birthday but they ended up getting sick because of the third hands smoke that comes out of the building to the lobby through the elevators and it almost sticks to your clothes. It says it's supposed to be smoke-free but it isn't everything is contaminated with smoke and now my kids are sick and we weren't able to enjoy the water park. We pretty much stayed in our room and our air conditioner broke luckily they gave us another room. The Wi-Fi connection was bad the whole time we were there. It also says kids eat free but we had to pay for our kids and they are 4 years old. The workers were okay but most of them smell like cigarette smoke as well as the guest that smoked right in front of the building and you can smell it through the bar and other levels of the hotel. I really thought it was a smoke-free environment and people should have to follow the rules and go 25 ft. I really hope you guys do something about that cigarette smell because not everybody smokes and that's the only thing that ruined the weekend. Other than that it was a okay stay I wish I can come back again but I would not like to deal with the smell of smoke. I can still smell all my skin and everything that I brung into the hotel to my car.

The room was incredibly well lit. The check in was fast and easy. However, this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at due to noise. Friday night there were kids running all over the hallways screaming. Saturday night they had very loud music playing at the water park until after 11:00. I called the front deck. They did not seem to care until the cops showed up. No, I did not call them. Avoid this place.

Top notch front desk staff. Exceptionally clean hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the TV was 4K. The bathroom was very spacious and the room was spacious as well. The waterpark was so fun, and the pool temp was warm which was great! Highly recommend this! Special shout out to the front desk staff who went out of their way to accommodate us!

We came for the pool area. It was great and I would say kids up to 10 would be well entertained here. A pool side room was great. Kids loved the bunk beds. Good breakfast buffet. Everything was clean.

The hotel itself was fine, the room was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. It was about what I would expect for the price point. The restaurant (Benevenuto's) on the other hand was AWFUL. We only used it one time, last night (3rd July). The service was atrocious. They took our order well enough, but everything from that point went down hill. There were maybe 5 tables occupied, quite sufficient for one server to attend. Our drinks took probably 30 minutes, my kids meals came in maybe 45, and fortunately, despite their best manners, we advised them to eat, lest they get cold. I spoke to the hostess, who was super nice, and asked for a manager, who I never saw. My daughter had ordered a bottled soda, which was finally delivered around an hour mark After another 30 minutes or so, we asked where our food was, and the server had no idea that it had never even been delivered. He went to the kitchen, and it is was clearly waiting in the window for a while. He brought it out and apologized, offered to take it off or have it remade. It had clearly been sitting for at least 20-30 minutes, the fish was completely dry and the steak was pretty tough by that point. He said "no-one was watching the line" I thought to myself, isn't that his job, to watch the line on behalf of his tables???? I am shocked that the chefs weren't yelling at him for the food dying in the window. We ate what we could and he was very apologetic, comping the whole meal, to his credit. We had already planned to order desserts, so we did not feel bad when he comped those too, though clearly they did not want us in the restaurant any longer, as they brought the desserts out in to go containers, including the creme brulee, which the menu specifically said was not available to go, for obvious reasons, they had simply made it, then dumped it into a to go container!! Overall, the experience was terrible, took around 2 hours from sitting down, and I will never eat at another Benevenuto's again.

Rooms are extremely clean and beautiful. Very comfortable bed. On site restaurant was great. Convenient location to the UW campus. Easy electronic check in, just had to pick up keys at the front desk in the lobby.

The fun pool made up for the rock hard beds. My kids (2 & 4yrs) had a good time! Would recommend detailing that the rooms don't have tubs. For parents of little kids, it would be nice to know if you can bathe your children!
