This was probably the DIRTIEST room we've ever slept in. After two months, we still hadn't received our deposit back. Now that we've finally made contact with the accommodation, they're saying there was something wrong with the room. We left the place at least ten times cleaner than when we moved in. We reported the items that were broken upon arrival immediately and even took photos ourselves.

Absolute disgrace of a place. The 4 person studio rooms are borderline a health and safety hazard and a fire risk. When the 2 beds are out and the doors closed you can hardly get out of the room or to the balcony door. We didn’t actually book a studio but due to a cock uk between Sunweb and the Maeva hotel group we were given the wrong room. We booked and paid for a 1 bedroom apartment. Both were impossible to deal with when trying to resolve this issue. They were completely disinterested and unhelpful. The rooms are extremely dated and simply not fit for purpose. There is absolutely minimal storage and nowhere to dry a family of 4’s ski clothing. We ended up in a room with 2 broken beds; lights not working; stains and grubby marks everywhere, including on hired pillow cases and bed linen; ripped upholstery; chipped paintwork everywhere; chips in the bath; and much more. All this had to be documented in an itinerary, which was a further frustration and a waste of our time. It would have been easier to have asked us what was in working order! When we look back at the various booking sites there are no photos that truly capture the size and configuration of the 4 person studio. Having lived in 1 for a few days now it is clear why.

We booked as a group of four with Sunweb in November '22 through a friend's recommendation. We returned from La Plagne in January '23, having been in touch with the local Sunweb rep there. I will keep this as factual as possible, but subjectively this was the worst accommodation I have ever experienced. We have sent in a formal complaint to Sunweb. Below is a condensed version of this hotel in our complaint letter. 1. Avoidable pool closure with health impacts, and unsafe opening. Myself and my partner have chronic knee injuries and so the use of some way to apply heat to our joints is very important. I also have a medical condition for which I take tablets and injections. In order to ski with minimal pain, I need ice, heat and rehab movement - the pool and sauna are essential for this. I explained this all to Sunweb in December 2022 via email. We would have accepted Sunweb's offer then of a 10% discount, or to change location, but we received an email from Sunweb about a day after we inquired re the pool closure, saying that it would be open again on the 15th January. We trusted this promise and did not change accommodation. We arrived at 7pm on 15th January and our hotel (Maeva) staff informed us that the pool had not been opened, although they had been told it would be. On the 16th of January, we were informed by the staff that it would be opened either that day or the day after (17th January). Staff quietly told us that they had been waiting for the pool to open since the 18th December. The pool eventually opened, after we checked every day, on 19th January, from 4.30pm. However, the gate to the pool itself locked behind the first few guests to get into the pool, leaving them stuck in lukewarm water and unable to get out for about 30 minutes. Eventually these guests had to prop a chair up against a fence to get out of the pool area. This was a huge safety hazard considering it is an outdoor pool and the people trapped were only in barely warm water. The gate to the pool was only fixed at about 6pm, the pool is supposed to close at 7pm. Additionally, only one sauna room of two was open, cramming about eight to ten people into a box of about 5 square feet. 2. No keys for our friend's room We had a major issue halfway through the trip, with two of our party who had booked separately with Sunweb. There were no keys in the packet when they arrived at 1am on a Wednesday. They woke us all up and we were preparing the room to squeeze six people into the four-person studio we were in (two people sleeping on the floor) before I was able to get through to someone from Maeva (by accident because someone happened to be holding the phone). (In what could have been a scene from a comedy, the man who brought up the keys introduced himself as the hotel owner and said that the Emergency number which we had rung wasn't normally manned outside working hours...! Arrived 1am to collect keys from lockbox as reception was closed. No directions to your room which is in a different building down the street. Two girls on reception who were great managed to upgrade our room for us after some false advertisment from sunweb. Pool and sauna are good but were closed 1 of the days(wed). Reception area only open a few hours a day and no place to store luggage which ruined our last day as we could have been on slopes most of the day after checking out at 10.

Firstly I generally don’t leave reviews but felt on this occasion it was necessary. We booked through sunweb who were terrific in every aspect so this does not reflect them but solely the accommodation. We booked this for a ski trip for myself and my brother so two young guys who generally didn’t care too much for the room it was simply somewhere to get our heads down and we wouldn’t be spending much time there so our expectation was almost none and we would be very easy to please. We arrived and was early as there is only someone on the check in desk between 4:00-6:00 so grabbed some food down the road whilst we waited. Once we went a checked in we was straight away asked to pay tourist tax (no problem) and a deposit of £20 (again no problem). We received almost no information other than where to find our building we was staying in and given a set of keys with 3 keys on. We booked the 2-4 person room which if I’m honest is barely big enough for 2 people so bare that in mind! Again fine with us simply somewhere to sleep. Room generally dusty and dirty and some dirty dishes etc left in cupboard from previous people. Once settled we sorted our ski hire and set of trying to find the ski locker which we figured out was what the other 2 keys were for. The lockers are very small and just about fit 2 sets of skis in but again fine with us were easily pleased and glad to have somewhere to put them. Now we will get to the main reason for the review. In our room we did not cook once, make any sort of hot drinks in coffee makers, kettles or even use the toaster. We simply slept and washed in the room. I received a bank notification 3 hours after we departed and we had just got to the airport to say £62 had been taken from my bank which I quizzed with our sunweb tour guide on what’s app (she was brilliant and helpful) whilst doing that I receive a text from the accommodation saying they have charged us for not cleaning our room. We did the following before leaving - Put all beds back, removed bedding, placed all duvets and pillows back where we found them and placed sheets folded on the bed - Cleaned all used plates and cups up in the dishwasher and placed back where we found them - Removed all of our belongings from bathroom and entire room - Swept up where required and left in a tidy respectful state - Bagged and disposed of all our rubbish in outside bins So I quizzed why we was charged not only £62 but they also kept our £20 deposit and mentioned I wasn’t happy this was just taken from me. They stated it was a fee for ‘not cleaning your room’ They claimed we ‘didn’t clean kitchen and left our bath products behind’ I quizzed my sunweb guide who received pictures of said issue. Every single picture was not even of our room and was a completely different room to ours, there was a dirty coffee maker we didn’t even use or take out of cupboard in our room, the fridge and dishwasher were the opposite way round to our room so we knew 100% this wasn’t

Nice place to stay and had 10% refund after informed pool and sauna closed on day of arrival,still being advertised as being open.As this was one of the main reasons we booked here were quite disappointed.booked through sunweb so not sure if this information was not passed on to them until we arrived,or not passed on to us so too late to do anything about it,but understand it is closed all season.

Appartement sale, WC avec des traces d'excréments sur le dormant de la porte, trace de vomi sur le mur du WC et sur la porte d'entrée. Toute la vaisselle à refaire dès notre arrivée. Aspirateur avec sac plein et tube bouché par une énorme touffe de cheveux et crasse. Lit clic-clac en arc de cercle et absolument inconfortable. Voisins qui font la “fête“ ce qui normal sauf à 3 heure du matin. Jeu de clefs incomplet, notamment pour le local des skis. Nous avons pris l'option “ménage“ pour le séjour et nous avons malheureusement cassé trois verres juste avant de partir, du fait que les placards ne sont pas dimensionnés correctement. N'ayant aucun ustensile de ménage à disposition (balais et pelle) nous avons rassemblé au mieux les morceaux. Il nous a été facturé et prélevé 50€ pour le ménage et les verres ce qui revient à 16,67€ le verre si l'on prend en compte que l'option ménage a été payé auparavant. Nous avons donc eu des verres de luxe...

Très déçue de cette résidence. Piscine fermée pour cause de fuite depuis la fin de saison hivernale et on vous l'annonce par mail à moins de 30 jours de votre date d'arrivée. Résultat plus possible d'annuler le séjour. Sans suit un échange interminable de ping pong de mails pour réussir à obtenir une modeste compensation financière.. Une fois sur place le logement est sale, le lave vaisselle est en panne. Une énorme grue devant les fenêtres gâche le paysage car la résidence est en travaux et nous n'en avions pas eu connaissance au moment de la réservation. Travaux bruyants bien évidemment, super pour se reposer en vacances ! Personnel désagréable et sans aucune considération pour la clientèle. Nous avons croisé beaucoup d'autres locataires aussi déçus que nous. Bref n'y allez surtout pas !!!

Quelle déception : pas d'eau chaude pendant 3 jours!!!! Impossible de se doucher. Vraiment la sensation d'être laissés pour compte par le personnel de la réception. Quand le technicien arrive enfin , il dit qu'il n'a pas le matériel et ne revient que le lendemain !! Lamentable. Fuite dans la cuisine non résolue, pas de serpillière pour éponger....vraiment très mauvaise expérience. Je ne reviendrai plus jamais.
