We travel a lot and when in the UK we stay in B and B and we have tried many. From the moment we walked in I just knew this was going to be different. The décor is stunning and the room and bathroom were exceptionally well equipped. This place is run by the man who has thought of everything, absolutely everything. The place is spotless and the full English breakfast we chose was exceptional. Local produce and superbly cooked and presented. Den was a delightful chap and he clearly enjoys making guests feel special. We will be back.

My wife and I are very discerning travellers. On the rare occasion that we use a guest house in the UK, we are normally a little disappointed. There is always something not quite right. Not this time! The gentleman who runs The Old Dairy is in a class of his own. The first impression is of impeccable taste and cleanliness. From the general room comforts to the a la carte breakfast, Den has thought of everything. Our only problem is that we will have to wait till next year for a return visit. This is a beatiful part of Devon to explore, and you will find no finer base. You will not be disappointed.

Not good at all, the owner just kept going on about how wealthy he was and looked down on us. Bad bad man, so condescending it was unbelievable and he was so rude. I would advise anyone who is looking at staying here to seriously question the validity of the five stars.

As soon as you walk in this B&B you know it is a cut above, spotless is a word very often over used but in this case, it is spot on :-) Den looked after us perfectly without being over the top, and we had a lovely immaculate big room ( Hereford ) Breakfast for us was fruit followed by a full English, absolutely delicious with top notch ingredients, we will definitely be back next year.

All I need to write about this B and B is excellent. Den, the owner's breakfasts are wonderful, the cleanliness is superb and if you don't want large hotel type facilities as I didn't as I was visiting the area viewing property and yachts, it has everything that you could possibly want. You may find yourself sharing a breakfast table with other guests, although I think this is voluntary, which for me was a positive thing, it made the stay all the more interesting, both Den and his wife have a very good knowledge of the area if you need any guidance. I would highly recommend this place.

The stay at this B&B was the most wonderful experience from start to finish. Before we arrived Den contacted us and text message just to confirm our arrival time on the day we travelled. Once we arrived it was Den who greeted us with a smile and offers of tea/coffee and cake. The room (Hereford) was very spacious with coffee /tea making facilities TV along with an en suite shower that was very clean, with the bed really comfortable and cozy to sleep in. The breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much to ask, if you needed anything and if Den can provide I am sure he will do his best. Overall I cannot praise this place enough it is a well presented throughout and of a very high standard. Well done to Den for making our few days stay really relaxing and will look forward to rebooking when next in the area.

Fantastic place, very clean and really well cared for. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was superb. Very highly recommended! Will definitely stay again. Location was ideal for us exploring Devon. The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable gave us some really good advice for places to go. This is a gem, one of the few places that provides exceptional value for money. We also had a great nights sleep over the three nights that we stayed.

I could not recommend this place highly enough. The hosts Jules and den are incredibly helpful and go out of their way to provide whatever you need. The room was beautiful. Large, welcoming, very clean and the bed and pillows felt like home. The breakfast was also superb. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Very warm welcome. We had the downstairs bedroom; the bed was huge and very comfortable, and there was lots of attention to detail, including bathrobes to go to and from our private bathroom over the corridor. Super breakfasts, very professional and genial host. We loved the view of the meadow area from the conservatory and hearing about the eco successes in terms of thriving insects and birds. A great place to stay in this stunning part of Devon.
