Lyme 1 Hotel

Lyme 1 is in a great location on the main street through Lyme Regis. This however means there is a lot of traffic noise and if you are in one of the rooms facing the street can be extremely noisy especially when over enthusiastic motorcyclists ride up and down the street. This is not really a hotel, there is no reception or permanent onsite staff and breakfast is provided in wicker baskets. You need to text your breakfast order through the day before. This worked well. Some rooms have a table and chairs but our room had two planks of wood attached to the window and uncomfortable stools (see photos). There was no dressing table and I had to sit on the floor to do hair and make up looking in the full length mirror from a distance as plug sockets were not close by. There is a kitchen with a toaster and fresh bread if guests would like additional breakfast and a nice outdoor seating area up a set a steps. The staff we did encounter were friendly and professional. Our check in information was clear and breakfast ordering very efficient. The content of the baskets was good quality and I was pleasantly surprised that the croissants were served warm. The lower score is for the lack of comfort. Our room was on the second floor and if we had wanted to sit at a proper table with chairs to eat breakfast we would need to walk down two sets of stairs then up another one outdoors.

We recently returned from a weekend stay at the Lyme1 hotel, and it was a genuinely lovely place to stay. The room was gorgeous, as was the bathroom, the bed was as comfy as you could possibly expect a bed to be, and the breakfast hamper was perfect, and a great addition to the experience. The room was also clean and warm, and comfortable. The hotel is in a great position, just a stroll down the hill and you are on the seafront, and there are lovely restaurants and bars on its doorstep. An ideal place to stay if you want a truly relaxing experience.

Nice room, very tastefully furnished. Great service from the lady there. Good comms around breakfast and in a grt location at the top of the street very close to the shops. Booking was very easy with a nice choice of rooms. Will come again soon

Had a fantastic break in Lyme staying at Lyme 1 B&B - great room with sea view, comfy bed and very spacious. Perfect location for discovering Lyme. Continental breakfast delivered in wicker basket to your room is a lovely touch. Owners were very helpful, will definitely return very soon

Really lovely place for a short stay. Nice comfy bed, plenty of storage space, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and nice guest toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast hamper was lovely and there was the option to make yourself toast too in the kitchen, that also has extra tea etc if needed. Lady that we saw was lovely and very welcoming. Hotel is in an ideal location for the town and beach only downside is no-where to park on site, however plenty of places in walking distance! Lyme Regis itself a really lovely friendly town.

The perfect hotel stay. The Cobb suite was fantastic; roomy, nicely furnished, clean and relaxing. The bed and bedding supremely comfortable. The hotel was lovely and quiet. The breakfast was fantastic; high quality and fresh. And the people that ran the hotel were very friendly and flexible. The location is great for seeing Lyme Regis. I'm on a round the world trip and this was easily the best hotel that I have stayed in.
