We have not really checked in to the hotel, we got stuck in a situation of going back to Seaton from Lyme Regis. Me and my friend missed out the last bus trip which we relied on Google timeline. So happen to have inquire for transportation at this hotel since it is the nearest point from bus stop Langmoor Gardens. Receptionist Joe has willingly extended extraordinary help. He demonstrated beyond what he shouldn’t have done since we aren’t either guests at the hotel. He made his way accountable for all, allowed us to charge phone, WiFi connection, a taxi agent and other taxi contacts for us to go home. He is so dedicated to his work and as a front desk customer service very professional indeed! He works from the heart. We thank you so much Joe, we love you! May blessings be in return to you for the help you gave us. We were back to Seaton safely!

A delightful, family hotel with a spectacular elevated position at the top of the town. Great views of Lyme Bay and walking distance to everything. Welcoming and helpful staff and lovely decor. Delicious and carefully prepared good. Excellent in every way.

The Alexandra Hotel is a truly majestic establishment. As regular visitors we are always taken by the high level of service, quality of the food and general ambience. The 'Alex' always delivers and we can heartedly recommend the hotel, you will not be disappointed. A great place to enjoy the delights of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast.

The staff were very friendly and helpful offering to take cases to our rooms, there being no lift in the hotel. Food was excellent and breakfast had a lot of choice. We had sea-view rooms which were a tad on the small side but the views as both the moon and sun rose respectively were fabulous. Parking is at a premium but worth the extra. The bar had a good array of malt whiskies to choose from!

We visited today and dined in the conservatory this for my wife’s birthday lunch time meal , the service by Ed the new waiter was excellent, the food was delicious and the view looking out to the garden and sea area was beautiful. We fully recommend this Hotel and will definitely visit again .

We noticed the Alexandra Hotel on a previous visit to Lyme Regis and thought we'd celibrate my birthday there. We definately made the right decision. We had a delightful stay, the room was excellent, the food served in the restaurant was perfect and the staff most welcoming. A perfect birthday break.

Very helpful for our daughter’s birthday lunch, went above and beyond to provide super lunch, looking forward to our next visit at Easter to enjoy great food and wonderful views. The conservatory has lovely comfortable atmosphere see you very soon

Excellent food to enjoy in a restaurant which overlooks Lyme Regis and the bay .This is a top place to enjoy ameal.Parking is limited but the main car park is not far away Outside is an entrance to the park with a walk down to the harbour beach and Cobb

Beware if you are disabled. A month ago I booked lunch for my husband who would be in a wheelchair, myself and a friend we were going to meet for lunch in the Orangery in the Alexander hotel, Lyme Regis. However, this evening the hotel rang to cancel our booking as they had since taken a private party booking for the Orangery on the day that they had already booked us in. I was told that we cannot be accommodated in either the bar area or dining room as both have steps up to them and clearly they do not have appropriate ramps. I received a feeble “sorry” and that was that! It was to have been our first visit
