Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre

Lovely place really clean really nice but it says it’s got a spa but all it’s got is one room for massage and treatments so you can’t really call it a spa

It was a very relaxing stay here. The breakfast is worth mentioning because they have a good selection and delicious food.

We knew what we wanted from a wedding venue, but after seeing several venues, we had almost come to the conclusion we would have to make some compromises. However, when we saw Kilworth for the first time in December 2022, we knew immediately that it was the perfect place for us to get married and we never looked back. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It has so many unique features and spaces, and through the exclusive package, we were able to use them however we wanted. The rooms are all beautiful, and the luxury rooms are just out of this world. They are pristine and all of our guests were really pleased with the quality. However, undoubtedly the most amazing part of getting married at Kilworth was their team and in particular, Caroline, who was our wedding coordinator. No other wedding coordinator and wedding team came close to Caroline and the Kilworth team. At every step, they were on hand with ideas, recommendations, solutions when needed and generally just made the process of wedding planning so much easier that it was a complete joy. I don't think "thank you" goes far enough really for everything Caroline did for us over the 18 months leading up to the wedding. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and whilst Caroline is absolutely amazing at her job, she was incredibly kind and we felt so welcomed every time we went to Kilworth. We often forgot that Caroline had many other weddings she was also the wedding co-ordinator for because she truly made us feel like we were the only ones and the priority. How she juggles this for every couple is just beyond me! The wider Kilworth team on the day were also absolutely brilliant. They were all so calm, it helped keep us calm throughout the day so we just enjoyed every minute. Everything ran smoothly, and if there were any issues, they were dealt with without anyone telling us! So many of our friends and family commented on how amazing the Kilworth staff were throughout the day, as well as how perfect the venue was. We couldn't agree with them more!  The extra special benefit of getting married at Kilworth is that although our wedding is over, we can still go back and visit and reminisce on the best day of our lives. Kilworth will forever hold an unbelievably special place in our hearts, and we look forward to visiting when we can and seeing the staff and Caroline again. We couldn't have asked for more from our wedding day, it was beyond what we could have ever imagined, and so much of that was down to Kilworth being the perfect venue with the most professional and outstanding team to help make the day as amazing as it was. Thank you so much for making our wedding day the best day of our lives, we will not be strangers to Kilworth and if we could recommend Kilworth to everyone getting married, we absolutely would without a doubt!

This afternoon tea was a birthday treat for my mother. We arrived on time and had a short wait to be seated in the beautiful orangery. We were offered no drinks whilst waiting. Once seated, a polite staff member showed us the menu and it was after this point it all went a little downhill. After being seated for 35 minutes we still did not have any drinks. Once drinks were served the afternoon tea did come out promptly. However, we were left slightly disappointed. Our teapot had a cracked spout. Sandwiches barely had any fillings in them, and potentially had been left out of fridge as some of our bread edges were rather dry. We also encountered a resting wasp, that was delivered along with our afternoon tea that was happily chomping away on a pre-frozen slice of cake that had been defrosted for our eating. Upon request, the waiter did swap out the cake and apologised for delivering the platter with an extra guest. There are two scones each provided. Our advice is to eat the plain scone, unless you want to loose your teeth on the fruit scone. The atmosphere and orangery area at Kilworth are beautiful! But sadly this didn’t make up for the lack of quality in the food for what it’s priced at.

We attended a celebration afternoon tea at Kilworth last week. It was fantastic; the staff really know their business. The hotel is smart and sophisticated but, at the same time, very warm and welcoming. The most beautiful loos are among the highlights of the gorgeous decor. Our hosts had kept a special surprise for their guests and no-one gave the game away. The afternoon tea was sumptuous, and service both relaxed and attentive. We have been to many country house hotels and this is far and away the nicest. We will be back for a short break soon. I highly recommend you visit Kilworth House Hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a very beautiful traditional hotel, spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and professional. The rooms are lovely and big. We've stayed a few times for dinner bed and breakfast and a show package. Always a pleasent stay with some very good acts. This time we saw the Dolly Show, a Dolly Parton tribute and she was positively BRILLIANT. Don't expect fine dining here, it isn't, but the food is ok, however it was very slow to be served, think they need to look at how they serve a large amount of people, having said that, we'd still return. Summertime in the open air theatre is also worth a visit.

We held a celebration at Kilworth this weekend and we could not be more impressed. From the planning stages through to the actual event we found the staff to be amazing - professional, caring, efficient and friendly. It’s not possible to name everyone however Natalie and Mem were both exceptional and went the extra mile to make sure our celebration was a huge success. The staff demonstrated real teamwork and excellent communication skills. The food during our stay was incredible particularly the afternoon tea. This is a real gem and we will be returning as will our friends.

Half a mile or so off the main road, set in 30 acres of farmland. A very traditional hotel and service, There were very few guests during our mid-week stay but clearly relies of hosting weddings and corporate events. The rooms were comfortable, clean and in keeping with the style of the building, the bathroom was fully updated. A separate shower would have suited us better. Excellent cooked to order breakfasts and evening dinners. Lovely grounds and theatre to explore when the weather allows.

A perfect stay celebrating my father-in-law’s 90th birthday - beautiful surroundings, great service and fabulous food. Everything about our stay was perfect from start to finish. The welcome, the pre-dinner drinks in the lounge, dinner in the Orangery, the choice on the menu, the rooms and breakfast the next morning. Dinner ranged from crab, cod, fish cakes to chicken, steak and a pie and everyone was extremely happy with their food. Cannot fault anything and thoroughly recommend. Thank you for a special stay.
