Residence Inn Lubbock-University Area

This property is across the highway from the Texas Tech campus, closest to the football stadium. A little hard to get in and out of but good clean rooms, good customer service and a nice breakfast as expected. Surrounding neighborhood needs some love but a good option.

I stayed in room 310 on January 31 checking out February 1. The card in the room said cleaned by Vicky. The room looked clean however when I turned down the bed the fitted sheet was flipped inside out with hair all over it. I went to the front desk and received new sheets. I went to take a shower and there was hair all over the place. Like EVERYWHERE. so then I ended up having to rinse out the shower. The guy at the front desk was nice when I checked in but when I went for help it was like I was bothering him. So I stayed since I was leaving at 430 am. I am a Marriott platinum elite and I continue to find this same issue in many of the Marriott hotels. However I do not have that issue with your competition. Im confused why housekeeping things this is okay. And why aren’t the rooms being checked by their manager? I do not recommend this hotel and will not return.

As a Lifetime Platinum Member of Marriott, I’ve seen my fair share of hospitality services, but what Monica, the desk attendant at Residence Inn North, did for my family on Christmas Day was nothing short of extraordinary. Amid a family tragedy, we found ourselves in desperate need of accommodation near the hospital. Monica, understanding our situation, worked tirelessly to arrange a room that would meet our needs, a task especially challenging on a holiday like Christmas. She successfully moved us into a double queen suite, ensuring our comfort during a difficult time. What makes Monica’s service stand out is her personal touch and dedication. We stayed in a King 1-Bedroom. It was spacious. The kitchen was nice (microwave, small stove, full size refrigerator, dishwasher) Towels weren't great. Good quality shampoo. Room was clean. Good breakfast options. Looked like a nice workout room. Wasn't planning on using the pool, but looked like it needed some work. Good value, would stay here again. Very close to campus, probably would have walked if it wasn't 100F that day. Appreciated the check-out time of noon (didn't need to request a late check-out) Wouldn't have expected a parking fee, but $5 wasn't bad. Elevator was slow, we were on the 3rd floor, so I opted to take the stairs most of the time. Would stay here again.
