Keenans Boutique Hotel

We stayed for 3 nights in Keenan's guesthouse, right next to the hotel. Very comfortable room and facilities. We had bikes to do some cycling and fishing along the Royal Canal and there was secure bicycle parking which was very handy. The breakfasts and evening meals in the hotel were very good quality - service was brilliant. My son left his phone charger in the room when we left. The staff were very helpful, located it and posted it back to us.

As always we really enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming, especially Lisa and Agnes. Breakfast was delicious, we loved the homemade jams and granola. We also ate in the bar and as usual everything was delicious , especially the vanilla poached pear salad . Also the sticky toffee pudding was perfect.

Our stay at Keenan's was absolutely brilliant. The appearance of the premises, inside and out, is meticulous. The staff are all, without exception, very professional and welcoming. The immediate impression one gets is of a very well-run, quality establishment. We ate in the restaurant, and the food was delicious and of a very high standard with excellent service. The room we were booked into for the evening was beautiful, and very well prepared. In the morning we were treated to an appetising, freshly cooked breakfast by the wonderful Betty, who made us very welcome. She's a great asset. All in all, thank you Keenan's for a great visit. My wife and I stayed in a really comfortable room looking out on the river. Quiet, super clean and well-furnished room with a very comfortable bed. We had dinner that evening at a comfortable fireside table in the cosy lounge which was so welcome as we arrived on a cold autumn night outside. The food was tasty, hot and home-cooked with a good range of choices and fresh ingredients. Staff at check-in, check-out and throughout our stay could not have been more friendly. Service was quick, efficient and delivered with a smile. A cooked breakfast to order, as well as a good range of continental offerings, was also provided with friendly good service. The whole stay made our trip west very enjoyable. Overall 10 out of 10. A real credit to Barry and Annette and David Keenan and their super colleagues.

Room was amazing, very clean warm and homely, would definitely stay again. We had dinner and breakfast, with the food and hospitality being outstanding. The village within Keenan’s was nice , we walked along the river and called in a local pub chatted with locals who were very nice and friendly

Wonderful hotel. While small, it has everything you could need for your stay. The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and the breakfast is fantastic. I didn't eat in the restaurant but I can vouch for the fabulous bar food, really nice. Highly recommend this hotel.
