Sitting at the foot of Mount Whitney, this custom built, 2 bedroom dwell home is nestled in the rocks of the Alabama Hills. Collide with the breathtaking views of the Eastern Sierra's and transform your stay into an experience with one of nature's wonders. Close to Mt Whitney portal, Horse shoe meadow and famous other trails, excellent for day hikes. We are in the epic center of the lowest( Death Valley),highest(Mt Whitney) and the oldest (Bristlecone tree forest).About pets:Pets allowed: dogs and cats less than 50 lbs per pet (limit one pet total).About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 3-17.About customRules:In no circumstance will dogs or cats be left unattended on the property or in the house..Pets are not allowed on furniture , beds and couches.Damages caused by pets will result in additional fees.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:No events allowed.

Unique house in a unique setting. Located close to lots of desert activities, or just chill (HA HA) and enjoy the view of the spectacular Sierra on the deck. Spacious house, spacious decks, great views, all the amenities - what more do you need?

Very nice!
Fun , creative living space. Very comfortable furnishings, sheets, towels etc. Amazing views!!. Easy to town. Very quiet. Suggestion... Would be nice if knives were sharpened (super, super dull!) and maybe put the welcome instructions & Wifi
info on a table top so a little more obvious when entering the house. Took us a while to find on the side of fridge not facing out. Would certainly come again.

desert oasis
Exactly as pictured a designer’s dream. Joost was super responsive and check in was flawless. The beds were super comfortable and the air conditioning was powerful (or stay was during summer). The location was ideal and provided for a perfect opportunity to experience the Alabama Hills numerous times a day under different light conditions as it was only 5 minutes away.

Three Days in Lone Pine
This property made for a memorable stay in Lone Pine. Stunning views from the front deck and all the amenities you'd ever need. This is a perfect location for access to Mt. Whitney Portal and for a drive to Death Valley. The host was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Overall a unique and comfortable place to experience Lone Pine.

Incredible home, incredible view, incredible host: loved everything about it.
Joost was a fantastic and accommodating host—very responsive and helpful over VRBO messaging. Moreover, this place is exactly as it looks on the listing, which is to say MAGNIFICENT. The mountain views, the starlight, the sunrises and sunsets... it's unbelievable. And the interior design taste is impeccable. Highly recommend!
