Chamberlain House

It was a pleasure to stay at this establishment, so close to the city centre and Teresa couldn't of been more helpful in giving us advice upon check in and what to do around the city of Derry. The cleanliness of the place is a credit to the owner Liam. I had a great conversation with him before I left and the history of the where we were staying. A pure gentlemen. As we had to leave early at 7 am, Teresa got up so early to pull up the garage door so that we could leave in the car at such an hour to get back home for my partner's appointment 350 km+ away. Appreciated it as we got back in time to collect our dogs and go to the appointment.

Theresa and Liam are the best guests you could find in derry, rooms and kitchen are really comfortable and clean. They will also provide you every advices you need to know to visit the center town. Many thanks !!

Central location, 5 min walk to centre. Rooms are very clean. Shared kitchen with everything you need. Self serve continental breakfast. Teresa is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Rooms are warm and bright. Bed and pillows are comfortable

We arrived in Derry on a bright sunny day, escaping the rains of Leitrim. Being a bit early we wondered where to park . A young man beckoned us and directed us to the ample parking for Chambetlain House. After a walk on the walls we checked in. Liam is a most welcoming host with lots of local knowledge and suggestions for site seeing as well as dining options. Chamberlain house is a neat and tidy hotel. Kitchen is stocked for self serve continental breakfasts. Bedrooms was very clean and well presented. Overall we had a very good experience so highly recommend Chamberlain House.

Having used several other accommodations in derry, travelling over twice a year with friends, we found this little gem, in a very famous street, Booking it, we arrived at Derry Airport, phoned our usual taxi company, CITY CARS, only one to use in derry, they charge £12 fixed fare on phoned hires. Our journey to chamberlain house right in heart of city centre took us 15 minutes, immediately on arrival by THERESA, we entered through the Secure keyless entry. ( no chance of losing the keys or who's got the keys question ) immediately noticed the house was warm bright and spotless. We were shown to the kitchen and dining areas. Also very clean, given the wifi password and room keys, Rooms were both spotless as was the shower, which was warm and powerful. Beds very comfortable , room also warm, t.v in every room. You have a continental choice of breakfast, cereal, yougorts, bread, tea, coffee ☕️, supplied. The house has full cctv on every level, parking space available on street outside or secure parking at the rear of the property which is locked 🔒 every night. Theresa lives directly opposite. So if problem arises, your never stuck. She visits first thing every morning, checking that all supplies are there and it's all clean and tidy, 5 minutes takes you to all the pubs, restaurants, and shops. Also the Guildhall and main bus 🚌 station. We ventured on couple of day trips visiting both BUNCRANA and LETTERKENNY on bus £8 per head 45 minutes max journey.mind sign the visiting book at chamberlain house, there was a utility room being completed to the rear of property at our stay, there is also ONE ROOM ON GROUND FLOOR, which would be suitable for anyone with a disability. Be advisable to contact LIAM the landlord directly to check the availability prior to booking, we met several other people whilst there, some who even extended there stay, for the price, cleanliness, and hospitality. We would highly recommend chamberlain house. Brilliant location. We will definitely be staying there on our twice yearly trips to beautiful Derry.

I've stayed here twice, once by myself in May 2022 and once with a friend in March 2023. Both times were very pleasant. Check in/out is super easy and the owner, Liam, is very kind and responsive. The house and rooms are very nice and clean. The kitchen is really nice to have, as well as the breakfast foods provided. The location is also great, right in the center of town. I had a car on my most recent trip and was able to park it just out front. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Derry!
