Fairfield Inn & Suites London

Very clean hotel, great breakfast, great service. The big negative is the shower water flow is less than you get at the lavatory. Less water flow and it takes twice as long to take a shower. After a long day on the road I look for a great shower with lots of water.

My classmate and I are from Knoxville, TN. We take nursing classes in Corbin Kentucky and currently doing a clinical rotation at Rockcastle. We have never been around this area and looked into many hotels that would be close to our clinical site. This is our second stay here and last week 10/9/24 we stayed we had a really good experience. The room was very clean, staff were very nice and good on the go breakfast options on our way out the door. This week 10/16/24 we are back. Experience didn’t start out well. Got checked in staff was still very nice and told us to let them know if we needed anything. We get all of our things to the room get our school stuff out to do paperwork for clinicals and study for an exam. I ALWAYS check my bed before sitting on it. It wouldn’t matter where I stayed. Checked the bed hairs and brown crumbs in the bed by the pillows. Of course I called the front desk, I asked if someone could just come change out the bedding that it didn’t look clean. My friend and I went to the lobby to let housekeeping come in and do what they had to and not be in their way, before leaving I remembered a friend of mine that worked as a manager in housekeeping said she always marked the bed sheets to make sure her employees were doing their job. Grabbed a pen a made a tiny mark on both sides of the sheet and we went on down. I asked front desk to let me know when they were done. Got done came back up and what do you know markings still there and they either vacuumed the crumbs off or swept them off. I called the front desk and say hey room *** again I don’t mean to be a bother and complain but I thought you said housekeeping came and he said they did and told me they changed out the bed. I said well I know they didn’t because I marked my sheets on the bed to ensure they were replaced. Housekeeping came back up immediately and we stayed in the room this time to ensure they were changed. The housekeepers were both very sweet but still doesn’t make up for paying and already making this drive from Knoxville to potentially lay in a dirty bed. Next after all said and done and getting paperwork and studying done. My friend goes to shower- dirty rag in the SHOWER still. She comes out and says you are gonna die and shows me and throws it away. IF YOU STAY HERE CHECK YOUR ROOM. Front desk wouldn’t move us rooms due to being fully booked OR we would of requested another room. We thought this was the best hotel on exit 41 but now not so certain, just raising awareness to always check your rooms. As to people take short cuts and don’t realize how nasty it is to not clean a room good before your next PAYING CUSTOMER. As to we are already broke nursing students we thought we were paying for a good place to stay! We have one more clinical day we have to stay up this way and will definitely look into other options :)

We were here for a one night stay on our way home. The rooms are clean and the staff is excellent. Breakfast was included in the room rate, with a nice breakfast area. Added breakfast touch was that had pre bagged breakfast to go. Would definitely stop here again.
