Neuadd Arms Hotel

Friendly, helpful staff. The owners are involved in the day to day operations, from manning reception to preparing the meals which gives a homely feel to the hotel. Our room was clean, warm and quiet. As a fussy vegetarian, it was great to have a range of dishes to choose from on the menu. The home made food was quick to be served and delicious. Puddings were also generous and tasty. We choose to eat in the hotel both nights of our stay. Breakfast was served to suit individual requirements. Would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed our stay here at the weekend. Old hotel and a little dated inside so don't expect premier inn!! But clean warm and cosy with a fantastic welcome. The food is all home cooked and was delicious and they are very very dog friendly which is fab as we took 2 of ours. We needed breakfast early on the Sunday as i think a few others did too so the host cooked it early!! We were treated to a welsh choir who popped in the evening and sang a few songs which added to friendly atmosphere. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks.

On the positive side the staff were friendly, the old bar quaint and the food pretty reasonable. The place though has seriously been run into the ground with a total lack of maintenance. The restaurant wallpaper is faded and peeling away from the walls. The sash windows are rotten and the ceiling stained from a water leak above. The stairs down to the basement toilets again sees wallpaper hanging off the walls, a worn out carpet and this before you get to the truly awful toilets. No wonder people use the side street! External door to kitchen open to busy main road gave an insight to the kitchen! No wonder only 3 star food hygiene rating. So glad we weren’t staying here as rooms look as bad. Busy only as the last man standing almost in town.

Firstly i would recommend to stay at the hotel as the staff are great even if they get your bill mixed up several times and the rooms are dated and our a little dusty! The food is great, basic but done very well, with a good choice at breakfast. It building is old and the rooms could do with an upgrade, but we still had a comfortable stay.

East lancs LDWA spent 4 nights here over the new year. We had a brilliant time, good food, comfortable hotel and an excellent show on new years eve, particularly the band and torch lit procession around the village. We have rebooked for next year! This is the place to be on new years eve. We are also coming down to do the real ale ramble in November which is another fantastic event. Thanks to cathryn and lindsay for all their hard work running these events. I would encourage walkers, runners and cyclists to visit this area.

My husband, me and our ageing Springer Spaniel stayed here for one night while we were touring mid Wales. From the get go we received a warm, friendly welcome and were introduced to the Hotel dogs, which was a great start. Our En-suite room was of good size, a king sized bed and was one of the best beds I've slept in, and the room was spotless!!. The owners were happy for us to leave our dog in our room so we headed downstairs to sample the delights of the bar. Three rounds later, involving delicious Malbec wine and fabulous beer, we decided to eat in the bar. Food was lovely, good hearty portions and really friendly service. After a great night's sleep, it was very quiet, we enjoyed a hearty full Welsh breakfast which was beautifully cooked. The owners and staff were very chatty, friendly and welcoming throughout. Would I stay here again? Without a shadow of a doubt! We thought it very reasonable and slightly quirky, which is a major plus over the usual corporate offerings. Give it a try, we did!
