Brynderwen

I recently stayed three nights at Brynderwen on my own. Richard was very welcoming and helpful with any queries and I felt completely at ease there. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean with a spacious ensuite. As I didn't want to go out in the evenings I made full use of the downstairs living room with comfy sofas, TV and the kettle for tea/coffee and was so pleased to have proper milk supplied in the fridge. Though very rural and peaceful, the property was easy to find. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for a dark skies event - perfect location (approx 20mins). Lovely property and a beautiful setting. We had the downstairs room which was ensuite, with shared lounge/kitchen/dining. We had everything we could need. Breakfast was delicious (veggie/vegan option available on request too). Parking on the property. Welcoming & interesting hosts who gave great local tips about events in that weekend & local walks.

We recently stayed at Brynderwen for 2 nights and would happily book again if we were holidaying in the Brecon area. Our room had a lovely view out to a hill. At breakfast (which was excellent), Richard told us it was called Allt yr Esgair and explained how we could walk up to the top for a fabulous 360 degree view. He also recommended local cafes and pubs. A smashing stay. Thank you.

My partner and I stayed at Brynderwen for 2 nights as part of a road trip to Brecon. This B&B is set in a beautiful location and very accessible for the surrounding towns, villages and walks (including Pen Y Fan). The building is well presented and the rooms are clean and perfectly serviceable. Lovely and quiet too. Richard, the owner and host, was polite and accommodating and serves a fabulous breakfast….you won’t go hungry! Local pubs are all around for lunch and dinner. The accommodation shares a communal lounge and kitchen area so plenty of space. The other guests were all nice and we hardly notice them. Parking for 3 or 4 cars, outside seating area (could probably do with some more tables and chairs TBH) but plenty of outdoor space. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay…Richard takes direct bookings so may be worth a direct call to see what’s available and the price.
