Premier Inn Caerphilly (Corbetts Lane)

One of the best premier inns I’ve stopped in for a while as I’ve felt they’ve been going down hill as a company. Could not fault this one at all the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you and breakfast was 10/10. Definitely will be returning when working in the area.

Lovely receptionist on arrival. Room warm & spacious. Very comfortable bed & cosy duvet. Big TV. It was great to have a window to open & lovely to hear the birds early morning as the room was facing the countryside. Bus stop right outside convenient to all surrounding areas & I understand there was a train station nearby as well. Toby Inn next door which looked really good. I only used it once for a takeaway to my room as I was visiting family the other times. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 4 nights over Christmas whilst visiting family in the area. It was excellent value for money. Our room was spacious and clean and beds were comfy. It was also very quiet. Yes - there were a few little scuffs here and there, but for the price, it didn't matter. Clean and comfy is the main thing. The staff were great - especially the night manager, the lady at breakfast and the chef. They were all extremely welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good - a lovely cooked breakfast (chef happy to make all variations of eggs fresh), plus cereals, pastries, fruit, etc. It does get busy, so I would advise booking a tineslot to ensure you have a table. We made a mistake on the last day, as I thought I had read on the Internet that breakfast was until 10:30. We arrived for breakfast just after 10:00, so we couldn't have cooked breakfast, but the chef was so helpful and went out of his way to give us extra continental breakfast. He was so kind and is a huge credit to the hotel. There is plenty of free parking - and there's a Toby Carvery next door (which we didn't use this time, but very convenient). I would definitely recommend staying here if you need a base in the Caerphilly area.

Love, love, love these beds! Great nights sleep. Good sized rooms, easy thermostatic controls and very clean. We were a family of 4 travelling to visit relatives and we enjoyed a 2 night stay in 2 x family rooms. Bathroom was spotlessly clean and it's always great to have the addition of a bath. Powerful hot shower and good quality soft towels too. Breakfast was of a high standard and plentiful, staff were really attentive and we were very well cared for.

The bed was comfortable but I have to sleep with the window open. You can't do anything about the rain, but there was a constant dripping from a blocked gutter outside the room, which kept waking me up through the night. Had arrived late, after working and then driving 4hrs to attend a family funeral. Didn't have time to mention on the way out as we were late leaving. Breakfast was tasty and not greasy. Please get rid of those awful toilet sheet dispensers. It's a hotel.

I stayed here when my usual hotel was full. Upon arrival I was disappointed that to enter, it is necessary to walk through the official smoking area. This consisted of numerous people standing (and sitting on the floor) in the doorway, smoking cigarettes. Aside from the unpleasant smell, it felt a bit intimidating to walk in/out with such an audience. It was the same each time we left or returned to the building, and quite off putting. Once inside the room, everything was exactly as expected. Clean and comfortable.
