Sindabezi Island Camp

From the moment you arrive you realise Sindabezi is special. The “African massage” from the highway to the river over the unmade road is well worth it. The short boat trip on the river and the welcome by Chiyeso and the staff on arrival was magical. From the surprise private trip to another island for drinks at sunset or lunch for two in the middle of the Zambezi watching the animals to sitting round the campfire in the evenings with other guests and staff sharing experiences and getting to know each other, these were all very special memories. Our maid Memory could not have been more helpful. Our room overlooking the river was amazing and the outside hot bath prepared by Memory was superb. The game drives were also incredible. Maybin, our guide, was so helpful both on the sunset river tour where we saw elephants,hippos and crocodiles and the land based drives where we saw sow much more, the highlight had to be walking with the White Rhinos which are protected 24/7 by armed guards who walked with us and told us about them. The food was so good, Joe, the chef could run a 5* restaurant in London. I could write more but it was just an amazing place to stay and we would certainly go back again. To all of you including Chipotle and Sylvester thank you so much.

The location was chosen for us by our Travel Agent. The main goal, obviously to see the Victoria Falls. This was the start of our safari tour across Southern Africa. We didn't expect to see so much nature, and to start to see the animals that we'd come so far to see. We had the sunrise chalet, and the sunrise was worth the price. The Zambezi flowing quietly by, with a morning chorus from the bird life echoing across the water. Food was great, staff very helpful and friendly. We had a great guide who took us around the Falls. To get to the hotel, there is a short boat ride down the Zambezi, a mini experience in itself. Very quiet and isolated, just what we love. You can really hear nature, and nothing else. It's not cheap, but worth it if you can afford it.

Heaven, perfect welcome, nice vibe, fantastic place, quiet, what a service !!!! Endless relax between hippo's and elephants. we stayed 2 nights but ideal would be three. Enjoyed the suprise lunch at the private island - thank you. A real must go. Linda & Lou

Very nice place on Island, wonderful nature arround. The Service is perfect, the staff is outstanding friendly . The athmosphere is all time warmhearted. This destination for us was perfect before we went home, after 3 weeks Safaritour. Petra and Joachim

You know you are at a secluded spot to yourself when you need to take a 5 minute boat ride to get to your lodge We loved every minute of our stay here. The cabins are beautifully outfitted with a private bedroom and an outdoor shower/bath. Our cabin overlooked (as they all do) the river.....but we were lucky enough to be on the south side of the island to look right across to Zimbabwe. There are plenty of hippos to be seen every day ..along with the occasional croc. A short trip to Victoria falls is just a few minutes away as is a safari trek to Mosi oa-tunya park. There you will see a phenomenal park with baboons, rhino, monkeys, and the occasional giraffe. The service and food here are second to none in the African continent. Sindabezi is such a special place. Just a short boat ride away from Tongabezi, this camp is secluded, peaceful, and beautiful. The chalets were nice, comfortable and overlooked the river. I loved laying in bed in the morning watching the sunrise on the water. The staff was welcoming, very attentive and always made me feel like I was at home. Oh, and how could I not mention the food....beautifully prepared and delicious! During the day, the adventures to Victoria Falls and Livingstone Island we fun and at night, I loved having a drink and sitting by the fire, exchanging stories about our day adventures with the other travelers. My experience here was unforgettable!
