Mouikis Sun Village

Lovely location with amazing views. Accommodation lovely and staff always really helpful. And lovely swimming pool. We found it was helpful to have a car so we could visit other parts of this lovely island and beaches. Will be back. Thankyou

Location is fairly remote, but on the road to Argostoli. Very quiet, peaceful place with views to the mountains one side and the sea the other. (Also the airport, but far enough away that there was not much noise). Rooms and public areas spotless and well maintained, but some areas could benefit from repainting. Lovely pool. Simple restaurant area serving basic dishes. (Anna makes the best coffee in the Ionian sea). Staff efficient and friendly. 2 restaurants within 2Km, but prepare for the walk back up the hill. (Byrons was excellent) Recommend a car to enjoy the area properly.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at The Mouikis Sun Village, on arrival the rooms are dated but spotlessly clean and cleaned/fresh towels daily so were fine. We travelled as a couple and generally go away for rest and relaxation and this place was perfect for this as it is away from the commercial areas, the hotel reception isn't always manned and there isn't any information on any kind of local travel for those wanting to go sight seeing and don't have a car so would advise doing some research before going as there isn't much around the hotel that is easily accessible on foot. We found the food and drink to be of a good standard and reasonably priced with exceptionally good service all day, the evening staff were not as attentive as Anna who worked really hard all day. The pool area is clean with good access to sun loungers all day, there are the most amazing sun sets from this area too. You are over looking the airport but we didn't find any issues with this as there are no night flights and the airport is small so there aren't too many flights and we quite enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. We would definitely go back here as it was very reasonably priced.

Well what can I say. A lovely friendly hotel that I would recommend to both friends and family. Pool area is beautiful with views over Kefalonia airport runway and amazing sunsets. Room was clean with comfortable beds and adequate shower room. Food and drinks are good. Im not really sure what hotel the last review was commenting on but it certainly wasn't this one. 4 stars purely for the location.. To visit other parts of the island a car is essential, although the owner is happy to take you to beaches and trips at a small fee (cheaper than a taxi).

Stayed at the Mouikis Sun Village and I should know better. This place has not changed in the last 12 years I visited. WHY? WHY? Did I do it? The rooms are just appalling. What in gods name has the owner been doing? I tell you what JACK ALL!! we stayed in room 41. 2 bedroom apartment, self catering. Amazing views but the room god help me. Just like something from the movie The Inbetweeners. Check the photos. Breakfast was lovely and the pool is to die for. €5 a day for air con is a joke when you can get it to work but no safe deposit box. Spoke to the owner on 2 occasions over remote control problems and was brushed off until I spoke back to him in Greek. That got him running around. Why? Because I am half Greek. Trust me they have money this is easily verified by the Rolex Submariner he had on his wrist, which he kept looking at when I needed air con resolved. Why does TUI still allow guests to use this 1980's throwback. My wife was chilled about this as we came for a business trip concerning property. People be warned this is 1980 Greece not 2022 Greece. God job we only stayed 4 nights.
